During the Spring Festival, head to the beautiful Goji Island to enjoy the sunshine and beaches, explore the deserted village, enjoy the seafood feast, and experience the festive atmosphere of the fishing village.

Day 1 Shanghai → Xiaoyangshan Pier → Goji Island

All day

We boarded the bus at the China-TravelNote meeting point at 6:30 AM and departed. Along the way, the staff explained the itinerary, interacted with us, and there was laughter and singing along the way. After about an hour and a half, we arrived at the Shenjiawan Pier in Xiaoyangshan, where we purchased our tickets and boarded the boat. The ocean views were endless, and the water gradually shifted from yellow to blue.
We arrived at Gouqi Island around 12:40 PM. After checking in, we
enjoyed a simple lunch of seafood noodles or egg fried rice at the inn. The afternoon was free on the beach: strolling, crabbing, and collecting shells .
In the evening, we followed the staff to the Shanhaiqi Watching to watch the sunset
and return in time. Tonight, we had a special seafood hot pot, and free-flowing selected beer and beverages. Haha, let's enjoy it all...
After dinner, we could count the stars on the beach and reminisce. We agreed to watch the sunrise together tomorrow.

Day 2 Goji Island Full Day

All day

5:30 Friends who want to watch the sunrise can make an appointment one day in advance and charter a car to go to the East Asian Cliff to watch the sunrise in the morning and cross the cross-sea bridge. This is the best sunrise spot on the island. There are many reefs in the foreground, and the prospect is even better and more fulfilling (Note: This activity is at your own expense and you can choose to go there at your own discretion)
8:00 The inn provides breakfast. After the meal, the car will head to the East Asian Cliff. In about half an hour, we arrived at the easternmost part of the island-the East Cliff. Standing on the edge of the cliff, looking at the boundless East China Sea, it was so magnificent.

At 9:30, we went to the Niangniang Temple, which is the largest temple on the island. It is said that praying for marriage here is very effective. Single friends can give it a try.

10:00 We hiked to the deserted village, where the older generation of islanders lived. Later, for unknown reasons, they collectively moved to the other side of the island. The houses were deserted, weeds were growing everywhere, and the walls were covered with creepers. We hiked into the deserted village pier and returned.

12:00 Lunch at the inn

12:30 After lunch, take a break and go to Cape No. 1 Cloud Coffee. You will be given a special China-TravelNote Cloud Coffee voucher worth 36 yuan, which can be used to place orders using WeChat at the Cloud Coffee.

At 15:00, go to Xiaoxi to overlook the whole view of Goji Island and experience the island style

17:30 Return to the inn, take a break and prepare for the seafood barbecue buffet

18:00 Seafood BBQ buffet, beer and drinks are ready!

Gouqi Island, a small island in the Shengsi Islands of Zhoushan, Zhejiang Province, lies east of the Shengsi Islands. It is named after the Chinese medicinal wolfberry shrubs that grow abundantly near Gouqi'ao. However, the island's names have been complex throughout history. Ancient names included Ganxie Mountain, Lixi, or Lixi Mountain, with other names such as Piyu and Gouqi Mountain. It was also marked on nautical charts as Nanma'an Island. For photographers, Gouqi Island is a paradise, its clear waters, azure skies, and a serene connection between water and sky. The white floats of farmed mussels shimmer silver in the sunlight. Fishing boats ply the rippling waters, creating a picturesque scene of a sea pasture. The moment you step foot on Gouqi Island, time slows down. Explore the Dawang Beach, admire the sea, watch the sunrise and sunset at Xiaoxitian, sit quietly at the breathtaking mountain and seascape, listen to the waves, and savor the delicious seafood at a fisherman's house. A visit to Gouqi Island is truly worthwhile.
