Day 1 Guangzhou → Conghua → Guangzhou
07:30
Check in at Kecun Exit B (Line 3 & Line 8) and look for the China-TravelNote flag to check in.
08:00
Depart on time. The tour leader will introduce the itinerary for the day and interact with each other to get to know each other.
10:00
Arrive at the starting point of the climb, and do warm-up exercises under the guidance of the team leader before officially starting the hike. The hiking route needs to pass through the jungle, and there are small streams along the way. There are not many steep slopes in this section, but there are not many people walking. The grass on some roads is relatively dense, so be sure to wear long-sleeved clothes (or sleeves) and a sun hat.
12:00
Arrived at the cement platform, took a short break on a flat ground, had lunch on the way, and then challenged the steep slope (the slope of this section is 60 degrees and the road is very slippery). You need to climb the slope along the way.
1:30 PM
Arrived at the peak (team members who could not reach the summit before 1:30 am need to descend the same way), took a short rest and prepared to go down the mountain. The road down the mountain is less traveled, and you need to lower your head and pass through a bamboo forest. This section is also the more primitive section of Burn Ridge, and some sections even need to be re-opened.
4:30 PM
As you descend along the bamboo forest, you will hear the sound of flowing water. As you descend along the valley, you will reach the foot of the mountain around dusk.
6:00 PM
The front and back teams met up and took the bus back to Guangzhou. We arrived at the Guangzhou meeting point around 8 PM and said goodbye to the friends who had challenged Burn Ridge with us, ending our pleasant journey.
