At 07:30 sharp, we boarded the bus and set off. The tour guide led the tourists in introducing themselves, playing interactive games, and there was laughter and joy all the way.
Around 12:30, we arrived at Jiapeng Township, Jixi. All the tourists were hungry, so we quickly got off the bus to find something to eat. After lunch, we strolled along the Millennium Water Street in Hantou, browsed the ancient village of Kantou, and felt the tranquility and peace of this ancient village in the mountains.
We departed from Jiapeng Township around 2:30 PM. During the Qingming Festival, the rapeseed blossoms were in full bloom. The endless golden terraces, paired with the white walls and black tiles of southern Anhui, shrouded in mist and clouds, were truly breathtaking! During the May Day holiday, you can also see lush green rice paddies. The scenery changes with each season, and the joy is endless!
Around 6:30 PM, we returned to Kantou Ancient Village in Jiapeng Township. We either split the bill or split the bill on our own for a snack. Afterward, we played some games! After a lively night, we rested early to prepare for tomorrow's itinerary.
2nd Tianjiapeng Township → Longchuan → Panxi Ancient Village → Poshan Village

After breakfast at 8:00 AM, we'll depart for Longchuan and explore the Longchuan Scenic Area. Longchuan Village is shaped like a boat, reminiscent of a dragon boat setting sail. A stream flows eastward around the village. Ancient dwellings line the banks of the scenic waterway, and the alleys are secluded, with whitewashed walls and black tiles. We'll visit the Hu Clan Ancestral Hall, considered Jiangnan's greatest ancient temple, and the Yishi Shangshufang, a prime example of Hui-style stone carving.
Around 11:30, you can find food freely in the village, and then take the bus to Panxi Ancient Village.
Around 13:30, we arrived at the ancient village of Shanshui Panxi. Panxi Village is 5 kilometers away from Poshan. The village is located on the banks of the Changyuan River. The river water is crystal clear and is a good place for nearby villagers to play in the water, cool off, and go fishing. We wandered around the ancient village freely, enjoying the scenery at every step. There were ink-and-wash mountains and rivers everywhere. We took photos and played in the water, having a great time.
Around 14:00, we hiked up the mountain, crossed a small wooden bridge, and entered the rural section of the sloped mountain. The road meandered through the winding mountains, surrounded by clouds and mist, with rapeseed flowers and terraced fields looming. It was so beautiful.
Around 5:00 PM, we arrived at Poshan, a mountain village nestled in the sea of clouds. Poshan is a photographer's paradise. A small basin lies in front of the village, and the Changyuan River, a tributary of the Xin'an River, winds through the foot of the mountain. This abundant water creates favorable conditions for the formation of magnificent seas of clouds. After rain, the sea of clouds becomes even more majestic, often with waterfalls appearing, creating a fairyland-like scene.
Have dinner at the right time and enjoy a sweet and delicious farm dinner. You can voluntarily go AA for the meal.
Note: The formation of sea of clouds is affected by many factors. I hope everyone can maintain a good attitude and love nature. Even if there is no sea of clouds, you should still have fun!
For the 5.1 batch, after contacting local farmers, we found that the probability of the sea of clouds in Shitan Town was higher, so the accommodation for D2 (5.2) in the 5.1 batch was changed to a farmer's house in Shitan Town.
3. Tianpo Mountain Village → Yuliangba → Huizhou Woodcarving → Shanghai

Friends who get up early, get up and watch the sunrise. There is a Changyuan River below the village. It has abundant water flow all year round. The mountains are always shrouded in clouds and mist, especially when it clears up after rain. I hope our luck will explode.
Around 8:00 AM, after breakfast, we'll travel by car to Yuliang Dam, the first Dujiangyan (Irrigation System) in Jiangnan. A National Key Cultural Relic Protection Site, it's a thousand-year-old dam that blocks the Xin'an River and a renowned water conservancy project in ancient Huizhou. Standing atop the dam, you'll be treated to breathtaking views of the lake and mountains. Above, the emerald waters are like mirrors, fish swim in the clear pools, and boats paddle the waves, creating ripples of tranquility. Below, jagged rocks and cresting waves grit against the rocks. The lushly forested Ziyang Mountain and the Ziyang Bridge, a rainbow-lit bridge traversing the clear waters, create a picturesque scene.
Around 10:00 AM, we'll depart for a bus tour to experience the unique Huizhou Woodcarving experience. She County is known for its exquisite Huizhou art. Traditional Chinese crafts like She Inkstones, Hui Inkstones, woodcarving, brick carving, and stone carving flourish. This ancient town, filled with art, composes a rich tapestry of history, resonating with visitors from afar.
Next, we'll visit a master woodcarver, a unique experience that will captivate you. We'll first view his extensive collection while he explains the history of Huizhou woodcarving and woodcutting. We'll then visit his studio and experience making woodblock prints, immersing ourselves in the charm of ancient Huizhou craftsmanship. With personal guidance from our instructor, no matter your artistic talents, this will be a fun and meaningful experience.

Note: During the May Day holiday, the museum is quite full. Woodcarving and bamboo carvings will depend on the museum's availability on that day. Day 3 may involve a carving experience first, with lunch at Yuliangba.
Depart for the return trip around 13:00.
At 19:30 we returned to the departure point in Shanghai. Everyone was reluctant to leave and kissed goodbye with tears in their eyes!
