Arrive at [Biyan Temple], do warm-up exercises, and prepare to start hiking. Hike up the mountain along the [Biyan Ancient Trail] behind Biyan Temple to the ridgeline of a huge windmill array.

Biyan Temple is a long-renowned Buddhist holy site in Changxing. In this ancient temple filled with incense, you can feel the message from afar brought by autumn.

Hike along the dirt road on Windmill Ridge to the mountainside and then follow the path to the summit of Nanyun Peak. From the summit, you'll overlook Taihu Lake. On the way down, you'll pass a lush bamboo forest, feeling the autumn air as you descend. The hike will take you back to your starting point. The total distance is approximately 10 kilometers.

Arriving at the end of the hike, the bus had been waiting for us for a long time, so we boarded and headed back to Shanghai.

Driving time: Shanghai to Huzhou, about 2.5 hours

Hiking: Today's hike is about 10km, with a total ascent of 458m and a maximum altitude of 514m.

Biyan Temple: Located at the northern foot of the main peak of Bianshan Mountain (Yunfengding) on ​​the shores of Taihu Lake in Huzhou, it is over 300 meters above sea level and is currently part of Qiancheng and Houcheng Villages in Hengshan Township. Biyan has been a famous scenic spot in Changxing since the Song Dynasty, boasting a history of over 700 years. Biyan Temple is divided into the Lower Biyan, Middle Biyan, and Upper Biyan areas.
