The Lingyang Gorge Ancient Trail, carved by Xijiang River boatmen, served as an important ancient land route for the Xijiang River to and from Duanzhou, connecting Guangdong and Guangxi. Rich in history and culture, it preserves numerous historical sites and ruins, creating a unique landscape of "gorge, river, mountain," "forest, road, and boat." Legend has it that Lingyang Gorge was named after an immortal who, while passing through the mountains eastward toward Guangzhou, let one of his sheep go. The gorge is lined with verdant mountains, towering into the sky, facing north and south. The main peak, Longmending, rises 615 meters.
