Day 1 Shanghai → Da'an Village, Changxing, Huzhou → Wutou Mountain → Feiyun Temple → Shanghai
All day
07:00-07:15: Meet at the designated location for China-TravelNote and sign in. Depart at 7:15 sharp, and enjoy interactive activities with your tour leader, all while having fun!
[10:00] We arrived at the starting point and began our hike. The starting point was Da'an Village. At the entrance to the village stood a 180-year-old ginkgo tree with a beautiful, fluffy shape. You can take a photo here.
[10:15-11:00] After walking out of the cement road of Da'an Village, you will walk on a wild road leading up to Wutou Mountain. This is a newly planned route with unclear road marks and a lot of mud and gravel. You can hold on to bamboo and move forward, and follow the leader closely.
[11:00-12:30] Arrive at the top of Wutou Mountain. Everyone will have lunch at a suitable time arranged by the tour leader. Then we will pass through a tea plantation. The scenery here is unique. Everyone can pose for photos to their heart's content.
2:30 PM Arrived at Baiguo Zen Temple. The temple is named Baiguo Zen Temple because of the two 300-year-old ginkgo trees in front of the temple gate. Locally, it's also known as the Eight-Cornered Temple. We've already covered a difficult section of the road, so let's take a break here.
3:00 PM - 5:00 PM: After walking along a section of cement road through the village and climbing a small hillside near Yangling, you'll arrive at Feiyun Temple. Formerly known as Guangfu Temple or Guangfu Temple, Feiyun Temple boasts a solemn and awe-inspiring architecture, including the Yuantong Hall, bell and drum towers, the Main Hall, and a Buddhist chanting hall.
[17:00-20:30] Set off back to Shanghai, ending a pleasant day. We were reluctant to leave and kissed goodbye with tears in our eyes.
November 27, 2024. The ginkgo season has passed and this week's route has been adjusted to a pure hiking route. Please be informed.
There are many off-road roads on this route, so novices should choose carefully.
It gets dark earlier in autumn and winter! It’s recommended to bring a headlamp!
