Day 2 Hailar → Morigele River → Aoluguya (Reindeer) → Genhe
·morning
After breakfast, we set off and officially started our grassland tour!
The car gradually drove into the Hulunbuir grassland. Our first stop will be the Morigele River, which was once described by Lao She as "the best winding river in the world". We will stop and walk along the way, climb up to the top and look out over the herds of cattle and sheep and the dotted tents on the river bank, which looks like a golden autumn oil painting.
·afternoon
Afterwards, we'll travel to Aoluguya. The Ewenki, a hunting tribe from the Greater Khingan Range, migrated from the shores of Lake Baikal hundreds of years ago, using reindeer as their primary means of transportation. We'll visit the Aoluguya Museum and traditional "Culuozi" dwellings to learn about the Ewenki way of life. We'll also stroll along the forest path and get up close and personal with the "four-legged" reindeer. Tonight, we'll stay in Genhe, China's coldest city.

3rd Tiangen River → Mordaoga National Forest Park → Enhe
·morning
Depart after breakfast and cross the hinterland of Daxing'anling Mountains. Arrive at Mordaoga National Forest Park in the morning. Take a small train decorated in a retro style (departs when there are 15 people or more) and travel through this cold temperate primeval forest, quietly admiring the golden beauty outside the window.
·afternoon
After enjoying the fun, we'll head to Enhe, a small and exotic Russian ethnic village nestled on the Sino-Russian border, where Russian-style timber-framed dwellings are everywhere. Tonight, we'll stay at a local inn. Timber-framed houses are constructed entirely of wood, requiring no nails, making them sturdy and warm in winter and cool in summer. After checking in, we'll be free to explore this secluded town, visit the fragrant leba houses, linger at the Vladimir Tavern, check in at the Russian wooden church, or write a postcard at the post office. We also recommend trying the local blueberry yogurt.
When night falls, you can also find unique Russian country cuisine in the town.

Day 4: Enhe → Secret Grassland (Off-road Vehicle Crossing) → Erguna National Wetland Park → Erguna
·morning
After breakfast, we'll depart for a secret grassland retreat featured on China-TravelNote. This is where grassland and forest meet, boasting gracefully curving hills and meadows, vast expanses of wild birch forest, and extensive farmland. We'll arrange a special off-road drive to explore this golden autumn scenery.
·afternoon
In the afternoon, we will go to Ergun National Wetland Park. Climbing to the top of the mountain, we can overlook the wetland landscape of the mountain waterfall. The winding Qu River echoes the grassland and woodland on the opposite bank, like a scroll of nature, just like an impressionist oil painting.
After having fun, stay in Ergun City tonight.

Day 5 Ergun → Heishantou → Manzhouli
All day
After breakfast, we'll depart for Heishantou Grassland Ranch, home to the lush, lush landscapes of the Genhe Wetland and the Ergun River. A must-do on the grasslands is an exciting horseback riding experience (at your own expense). Under the guidance of your horseman, don a professional knight's hat and ride a majestic steed. We'll journey deep into the grasslands, ascend to the summit, and gaze over the Ergun Wetland, immersing ourselves in the beauty of nature.
Afterwards, we'll continue south along the Sino-Russian border highway, enjoying the border scenery along the way, with winding rivers and a golden hue. In the afternoon, we'll arrive in Manzhouli, a city bordering China, Mongolia, and Russia. After checking in, we'll be free to explore the surrounding area. Manzhouli's nightscape is a hallmark of the city, from the Yingshan Cathedral in the east to the lakeside vistas of Beihu Street. This vibrantly lit border town is a symbol of China's prosperity.
Kind tips:
Due to road closures and construction, the originally planned China-Russia border highway (Heishantou-Manzhouli) is inaccessible. You will need to take a detour via National Highway 332 to Manzhouli City (adding approximately 1 hour to the journey). Thank you for your understanding.

Day 6 Manzhouli → Xinbarhu Grassland → Nuogan Lake
·morning
After breakfast, we'll head to the National Gate Scenic Area to visit the national gate and boundary markers. Climb the gate to admire the streets of the Russian town of Zabaikalsk. We'll also take photos at Sino-Russian Boundary Marker No. 41, the remains of a secret Chinese Communist Party transportation line, and the steam locomotive square. We'll then drive through the New Barag Pasture, where you'll be treated to breathtaking, vast grassland scenery. In autumn, the grasslands are piled high with harvested hay, and plump cattle and sheep are busy transitioning to new pastures, while herders prepare their harvest. We'll stop and go along the way, enjoying the breathtaking scenery.
Kind tips:
Due to the border scenic area policy, foreigners and compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan cannot enter the Manzhouli National Gate Scenic Area. The corresponding ticket fees will be refunded, and they can freely travel around the Manzhouli city. Thank you for your understanding.
·afternoon
After enjoying our fun, we'll head to the Hulunbuir Grasslands to discover a hidden gem (Nuogan Lake). Nestled between the vast expanse of Honghuaerji's pristine Scots pine forest and the vast Barhu Grassland, Nuogan Lake retains much of its pristine natural beauty. Its diverse landscapes, encompassing forests, grasslands, lakes, wetlands, and hills, create a layered beauty, earning it the nickname "Hulunbuir in miniature." After checking in, China-TravelNote will be free to explore this hidden gem of a grassland.

Day 7 Nuogan Lake → Arxan Forest Park (full day) → Arxan
All day
After breakfast, we'll depart for the heart of the Greater Khingan Range, heading to Arxan National Forest Park. Our first stop will be Tuofengling Tianchi. Arxan is a remnant of the Greater Khingan Range. Tens of thousands of years ago, volcanic eruptions formed hundreds of large and small Tianchi (lakes of heaven), of which Tuofengling Tianchi is the largest. In late autumn, the clear waters of Tianchi shimmer with the golden reflections of birch trees, creating a vibrant scene. We'll ascend along the wooden plank path for aerial views of the entire Tuofengling Tianchi.
In the afternoon, we arrived at Dujuan Lake, the largest volcanic lake in the forest area. Its rocky lava columns jutted outwards, and the azure waters reflected the birch forests surrounding it. The dappled autumn colors resembled a vibrant, richly painted European oil painting. We continued our journey to Santan Gorge, enjoying the fresh air and sunshine of the Arxan forest. Finally, we headed to the Unfrozen River, where autumn brings a touch of poetry. The river meanders through vibrantly colored forests, and sunlight filters through the branches, casting shimmering shadows on the water.
Today we'll spend the entire day exploring Arxan in the golden autumn. After a satisfying day, we'll arrive in Arxan City in the evening. Its neat streets and unique wooden houses evoke the charm of a Nordic town. After checking in, tourists can enjoy a delicious meal and stroll through the city. Alternatively, they can relax and soak in the hot springs at the China Hot Spring Museum.

Day 8 Arxan → Hailar ★ Disbandment Day
All day
After breakfast, we will go to the popular railway station (Arxan Railway Station). Built in 1937, Arxan Railway Station is an Oriental-style Japanese building with two floors made of bricks, wood, granite and steel bars.
Afterwards, we'll return to Hailar, arriving at 1:30 PM. We'll be transferred to the airport and then to Genghis Khan Square. Finally, we'll be dispersed at the train station, concluding our enjoyable journey. If time permits, you can explore the city on your own and explore the local cuisine.
Tips for returning:
1. Departure from Arxan: Arxan Yiershi Airport is 25km from the city center. There are direct flights to Beijing Daxing Airport, and connecting flights to major cities in China.
2. If you are expected to arrive in Hailar at 13:30, it is recommended to book flights or trains after 15:30;
