Day 2 Immersive Vacation at Pingtan Island
All day
Itinerary presentation
After enjoying breakfast at the hotel in the morning, we officially started our vacation on Pingtan Island today.
丨Niche Monkey Research Island/Check in at the 68-nautical-mile landmark
First, I'll take you to Houyan Island, located east of Pingtan Island in Fuzhou. It's a unique island separated from the mainland by high tide and connected to it by low tide. Isolated in the sea, it has been subjected to years of erosion by the waves, resulting in significant variations in the shapes of the rocks visible to the naked eye, creating a variety of giant stones. From here, you can also gaze out across to Taiwan Island and take a photo at the 68-nautical-mile landmark.
丨Binhai Beilanling/Rivaling Taiwan's Internet-famous highway
At 40 mph, we head north to admire the stunning seascape, the seaside stone houses and terraced fields, and the commanding heights overlooking the sea. It's like a hidden gem of a wild place, where every shot is a masterpiece.
丨Encountering the sea around the corner/Windmill coast with built-in filter
[Yeshebang VIP Privileges] Arrange afternoon tea at a popular cafe and enjoy a relaxing and wonderful holiday
We will come to the northern ecological corridor where the mountains and the sea meet. There are winding roads and star-like viewing platforms along the way. Looking up, you can see the large windmills scattered on the mountain, the suspended plank road facing the sea, and those unique stone houses. You can enjoy the sea breeze by the sea and wait for the sunset.
Sunset over the windmill field/like in Hayao Miyazaki's comics
The beach here is also one of the three major seaside beaches in Pingtan. As the sun sets, you can run freely on the vast beach and look for hermit crabs in the cracks of the rocks!
丨Transform into a beachgoer/collect seafood on the coastal mudflats
As the sun sets, we come to the coastal mudflats, take our beach-hunting tools (buckets, shovels, and pliers), and transform ourselves into Pingtan Island [sea-hunters] to look for fresh seafood in the mud and sand of the mudflats!
丨Mysterious Blue Tears/Chasing the Blue Ribbon Under the Night
In addition to its long coastline, reminiscent of Dutch windmills, Pingtan Island is also one of the few places in China where you can see the blue fluorescent sea. From April to September each year, Pingtan Island is prone to blue tears. The tiny fluorescent algae, as fine as sand, emit a delicate glow under the lapping of the waves, resembling a fairyland from a movie. (Note 3)

Day 3 Pingtan Island → Hui'an → Quanzhou
All day
Itinerary presentation
Quanzhou, the bright city described by Marco Polo, is the city of Citong with its red flowers and the starting point of the Maritime Silk Road. But when you actually come to Quanzhou, you will find a tile with cloud patterns, a bowl of satisfying noodle soup, and a plaque under the arcade. The city is small but full of surprises.
丨Hui'an Luoyang Bridge/a cross-sea bridge 900 years ago
Luoyang Bridge is a renowned sea-crossing stone bridge. Construction began during the Song and Yuan dynasties under the leadership of Cai Xiang, and boasts a thousand-year history. It bears witness to Quanzhou's highly developed commercial economy and flourishing culture during these periods. Along with Beijing's Marco Polo Bridge, Hebei's Zhaozhou Bridge, and Guangdong's Guangji Bridge, it's considered one of the four famous bridges of ancient China, though it's the only sea-crossing stone bridge to do so. Its boat-shaped piers are truly innovative, and despite thousands of years of seawater erosion, it remains sturdy and durable, a truly stunning sight.
Enjoy local cuisine/Bole Fanzilou or Zhongji Salt-Roasted Ginger Duck
Lunch is arranged at an exquisite antique restaurant: the same restaurant as the variety show "Sisters Riding the Wind and Waves" [Bolu Fanzilou], or a traditional restaurant with a strong sense of fireworks, and the signature must-order is Zhongji Salt-Roasted Ginger Duck (Note 3)
Visit Kaiyuan Temple/The ethereal sound of Zen in the ancient Buddhist city
The Buddhist nation's reputation has long been celebrated, its mulberry and lotus offering unique sounds of Zen. On West Street in Quanzhou, a Buddhist temple embodies a multicultural fusion, a unique masterpiece of Buddhist architecture in ancient East Asia. This is the Kaiyuan Temple, built over 1,300 years ago during the Tang Dynasty. Some say a visit to Quanzhou without visiting the Kaiyuan Temple is like a trip to Xi'an without visiting the Terracotta Warriors. Besides devoutly worshipping the Buddha here, visitors can also take photos alongside the red walls, creating a unique "mini-Forbidden City" atmosphere.
丨The bustling atmosphere of West Street/Share the charm of Southern Fujian with the locals
[Yeshebang VIP Benefits] Surprise visit to Quanzhou Old Town's Youli Coffee or Meichaochuang (West Street Rooftop 1) and enjoy the stunning views of the East and West Pagodas in the afterglow (Note 4)
West Street is a microcosm of the thousand-year-old Quanzhou Ancient City. It houses the city's central landmark, a fusion of Southern Fujian and European styles, and is filled with authentic snacks that are worth savoring slowly.

Itinerary presentation
丨Entering Xiapu Village/Walking between red bricks and oyster shells
If Quanzhou is the starting point of the Maritime Silk Road, and Xiapu Village is its departure port, the village has witnessed the bustling passage of countless merchant ships. The oyster shells, the ballast left behind on their return journeys, also marked the beginning of a new journey. Savvy villagers use these shells as a building material to build walls. The interlocking shells create a staggered, fish-scale-like pattern, and against the surrounding red brick walls, the vibrant red and white create vibrant colors, creating a series of beautiful patterns.
丨Become a Xiapu girl again/Experience the sky garden of hair accessories
With their hair in a bun with flowers, red hem robes, and wooden clogs, the "Xiepu women," a cultural symbol of Xiepu Village, are renowned for their distinctive fishing style. They style their hair in a conch shell, wear an ivory hairpin, and garland their hair with fresh flower buds, creating a vibrant spring garden. We'll show you how to style your hair like a hanging garden and become a fashionable "Xiepu woman."
