Day 1: All places → or → Meet in Zhanjiang
All day
Gather in Zhanjiang all day and check in to the designated hotel in Zhanjiang city
Tourists who arrive early can go to the sea-viewing promenade and take pictures of the night view of Zhanjiang Bay Bridge. During the free time, remember to pay attention to safety!
Transportation to the meeting hotel
Zhanjiang Wuchuan International Airport: From Gate 6 of the arrival hall on the first floor of the airport, take the Airport Express to Zhanjiang City (Xiashan Lines A and B, get off at Junhao Hotel Station; the fare is approximately 35 yuan, and the ride takes approximately 1 hour). Then take a taxi to the meeting hotel.
Zhanjiang West Railway Station (High-speed Railway Station): It is recommended to take a taxi directly to the meeting hotel, which takes about 35 minutes.
Day 2 Zhanjiang → Nanji Village → Xuwen
All day
After breakfast, proceed to China Antarctic Village for sightseeing and filming
Antarctic Village is an iconic tourist destination at the southernmost tip of mainland China. It has many photographic elements such as the lighthouse, water lines, salt fields, coral reefs, windmills, sunny beaches, etc. There are many small private salt fields on the road, and you can stop to take pictures if you encounter salt workers working.
In the afternoon, visit and photograph Baoxi Salt Field
Baoxi Salt Field is one of Guangdong's four largest salt fields. The salt fields are blessed with strong sea breezes, little rainfall, high temperatures, and high evaporation rates. The resulting high salinity in the seawater results in high-quality, high-yield salt crystals. Local salt farmers produce sea salt using a primitive method that has been practiced for thousands of years. The intense heat and sea breeze transform the seawater into silver. The hotter the weather and the stronger the sunlight, the better the salt drying. At first glance, the ten-mile salt fields resemble the snowy plains of southern China.
In the evening, take photos of the sunset at Fangpo Village and the oxcart driving to the sea
The beach around Fangpo Village is so durable it can accommodate cars, so oxcarts with inflatable wheels are the primary means of transportation for local fishermen traveling between shore and their fishing boats at sea. These carts allow them to conveniently load fishing nets and other supplies onto their boats, haul catch or repaired nets ashore, and even serve as a means of transport for personnel to and from their fishing boats, creating a truly unique cultural landscape. After filming, we moved to Xuwen County for our overnight stay.

Day 3 Xuwen → Pineapple Sea → Imperata Sea
All day
After breakfast, go to the sea to shoot the pineapple pastoral scenery
Known as the "Flower Fields of Hokkaido" and the "Idyll of Europe," this area boasts endless pineapple fields, stretching gracefully to the horizon. The pineapple orchards, vibrant with color year-round, blend with the small villages and massive windmills scattered throughout the fields to create a captivating tropical agricultural landscape. Explore the pineapple sea at various hidden photo spots, capturing the authentic pineapple scene. Year-round, you'll have the opportunity to capture pineapple harvesting action. Afterward, proceed to the Imperata Sea for overnight stay.
In the afternoon, go to an uninhabited island to photograph the sunset
This unmapped sandbar island exists in solitude, lost in the ocean's history. Access is by local fishing boat. It's quite shy, revealing its true form only when the tide recedes. From above, it resembles the ear of the ocean, with Guangdong's first offshore wind farm in the distance. Special note: If the weather is inclement in the afternoon and it's not suitable for sailing, arrange to photograph the sunset from the banana boat at Xishan Village on Xinliao Island or the sunset from the Baimaohai Lighthouse. If weather permits, return to the island the following morning.

Day 4: Baimao Sea → Wailuo Fishing Port → Naozhou Island
All day
Get up early to photograph the sunrise over Baima Lake
Baimaohai is named after Baimao Village, which was founded in the early years of the Qianlong Emperor's reign in the Qing Dynasty. Surrounded by three seas, it boasts abundant fishery resources, earning it the nickname "Baimaohai." The "Ten-Mile Oyster Beach" is a famous spot in this area. When the tide recedes, a vast expanse of black rock covered in oysters is exposed. Residents of Baimao Village and nearby fishermen come to Black Rock Hill with bamboo baskets to dig for oysters. The old lighthouse at Baimaohai is the soul of this area. The Guangdong Tourism WeChat official account recommends Baimaohai as one of the most beautiful sunrise viewing spots.
In the morning, go to Wailuo Fishing Port to take photos of humanities
Wailuo is a national second-class fishing port and one of Guangdong Province's eight major fishing ports, accommodating thousands of fishing vessels. The fishermen, many of whom are descendants of the Tanka people, retain the tradition of making their boats their homes, though many now live ashore. The dock offers opportunities to capture unique cultural scenes, such as fish market transactions and fishermen at work.
Depart from Zhanjiang Southeast Pier at an appropriate time and transfer to a ferry to reach Naozhou Island. Naozhou Island is China's largest volcanic island, formed approximately 200,000 to 500,000 years ago by an underwater volcanic eruption. It is one of the "Eight Scenic Spots of Zhanjiang," known as "Naozhou's Ancient Charm." Located off the coast of Zhanjiang City, it boasts beautiful scenery and a pleasant climate year-round. It boasts unique volcanic rock formations, fishing villages and ports, beaches with coconut groves, and vast dragon fruit and banana groves...a pristine, untouched island untouched by overdevelopment.
Photographing the sunset at Cunliang Bay on Naozhou Island in the afternoon
Cunliang Bay is renowned for its volcanic rock formations, charming fishing village, and pristine natural landscape. Strolling through the bay at low tide, the black volcanic rocks resemble herds of migrating bulls on the African savannah, a breathtaking spectacle. The old coconut trees slanting out from the seashore, like a beckoning welcome, like drunken slumbers on the sand, not only add to the beauty of the black rocky beach but also bear witness to the transformation of Cunliang Bay and Cunliang Village.

Day 5: Naozhou Island → Chikan Old Street → Aoneihai → Wuchuan
All day
Get up early to shoot the sunrise at Nayanhai Rock Beach
Nayanhai Stone Beach is a great place to capture the sunrise on Naozhou Island. Formed by volcanic eruptions millions of years ago, it is covered with black basalt reefs in various shapes. Some resemble crawling giant beasts, while others point to the sky like sharp swords. The textures formed by the waves are very artistic. Then visit and photograph the nearby Turtle City, and leave Naozhou Island by boat at the right time.
Visit and photograph the cultural buildings of Zhanjiang Chikan Old Street
Zhanjiang's Chikan Old Street still retains many "Nanyang-style" buildings, with old arcades and old houses blending together. Walking here, you can feel the traces of history and experience the rich atmosphere of fireworks. This is also the main filming location for the 2020 hit web drama "The Hidden Corner", where you can slowly film and enjoy Zhanjiang's delicious snacks.
In the afternoon, go to Maoming Aoneihai to take pictures of the sunset
Aonei Bay, sheltered by Yanjingling, is a natural haven for fishing boats. The crescent-shaped bay boasts a gently sloping, fine-sand beach and a diverse collection of reefs. The waves crashing against the shore create a spectacular "reef forest wave." In the evening, ascend Yanjingling to capture the bay's magnificent sunset. Hundreds of fishing boats are moored in the bay, and the setting sun casts a golden glow across the sea, creating a truly spectacular scene. At low tide, the mudflats are exposed, creating beautiful lines and creating a perfect spot for landscape photography.

Day 6 Wuchuan → or → other places
All day
Get up early to take pictures of Wuyang Golden Coast sunrise and fishing lights
The Gold Coast's gently sloping beach opens eastward to the sea, offering unobstructed views that make sunrises particularly breathtaking. In the early morning hours, the sky gradually shifts from pale white to orange and crimson, before the sun finally breaks through the horizon, tinting the water like gold foil and gilding the fine sand with a warm golden glow. China-TravelNote arranged for local fishermen to capture the spectacular sights of fishing lights, fishing boats, and their work. After their satisfying photoshoot, they returned to the hotel for breakfast and a short rest.
The group will disband at Zhanjiang Wuchuan Airport at noon (expected arrival time around 13:00. Tourists who want to take the high-speed rail should go to Wuchuan Station first and then to the airport). This concludes our enjoyable photography trip. Don’t forget to hand in your homework when you get home!
