Gather at approximately 07:30 and depart for Luya Mountain.

We arrived at the village near Luya Mountain Scenic Area at around 11:00 and had lunch on our own to replenish our energy.

Have fun at [Malun Grassland] from 12:30 to 15:30

Located at an altitude of over 2,700 meters, the Malun Grassland is now in full bloom with the autumn season in full swing. Taking advantage of the afternoon sun, we ventured to this grassland to unwind. Passing through a somewhat bizarre primeval forest, the Malun Grassland unfolded like a picture scroll before us. The cattle, sheep, and horses, these free-range creatures of the nomadic herders, seemed to be the true masters of this land. Stepping onto the smooth, winding wooden plank paths, sitting, running, and leaping, the vast grasslands beneath the blue sky and white clouds were a true masterpiece. If you're staminad, you can walk to the end of the Malun Grassland, where you'll be very close to the deep ravines of Luya Mountain. Take a panoramic photo for a truly breathtaking view! Even director Jia Zhangke has filmed on the Malun Grassland.

♥Key points: Close-up of grassland animals and panoramic view of Luya Mountain in the distance

Stroll in Lover's Valley from 16:00 to 17:30

In this elegant and tranquil valley, legend has it that many devoted lovers finally found their marriages. A spring, perpetually flowing, gurgles along its course, creating a series of dozens of rock pools and small waterfalls, all contrasting beautifully with the fiery maple leaves, golden pine needles, and lush spruce trees. Choose the right angle and extend your shutter speed to easily capture the silken, flowing stream—isn't it a marvel?

♥Key Points: Slow-motion Silky Flowing Water and Red Leaves

Day 2 Dongzhai Town → Wannian Ice Cave → Cliff Plank Road → Hanging Village → Taiyuan

All day

After a good night's sleep and breakfast, we'll put on some warm clothes and head to the magical [Ten Thousand Years Ice Cave].

Only a cave frozen over 365 days a year can be called an ice cave. In Ningwu, a place with distinct seasons, such a miraculous ice cave unexpectedly appears. Walking along the wooden plank road, before I even saw the cave's exterior, a chill breeze blew across my face, causing me to tighten my clothes. The next moment, I looked up and was filled with awe. Icicles, ice shoots, and ice stalactites, under the changing light within the cave, displayed a dazzling array of colors—red, gold, half purple, half yellow, half gray, half lily, yellow pear, purple eggplant... The colors you learned in elementary school Chinese textbooks seemed to take on a new dimension, and their crystal-clear texture made one wonder if the Guanghan Palace on the horizon resembled the same color.

♥Core attraction: Colorful Ice Cave

Then let us take on the dual challenge of physical strength and courage and conquer the [Cliff Plank Road]

Devout Buddhists, driven by their incredible perseverance to reach China's only Vairocana Buddha monastery, carved this pilgrimage route through the sheer rock face. These plank paths, barely wide enough for one person, look like the bites of a tiny insect from afar. The paths are so narrow that sometimes only one person can pass sideways. Newly installed guardrails prevent falls. The plank paths are more than just a path; they are also caves. These caves, sunken into the cliff face, range from small enough for one person to large enough for dozens. Another type of cave, carved into the rock face to connect to the path, often requires only a crouching waist, while a few are barely wide enough for crawling, yet they are essential for the path. Photographing the scenery through the caves is captivating, and you can also capture yourself or your friends navigating the caves.

♥Key attractions: Mountains outside the cave, cave drilling experience

Finally, we can witness the secluded and peaceful life of the Hanging Village.

CCTV-4's "China Geographic Magazine" program reported and interviewed here. During the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, the emperor, after Li Zicheng's fall, entrusted his son to the care of his relatives. They journeyed here, and their entourage settled there to protect the prince, giving rise to the village. When the village was discovered, it's said the villagers wondered, "Have the Japanese invaders left?" This evokes a sense of the lingering charm of a paradise. Looking up from the foot of the mountain, the village perched atop the cliffs exudes even greater grandeur. Its subtle presence, nestled amidst the vibrant colors of the mountains, beckons you to explore. After a long morning's hard work, you can also enjoy a picnic in this secluded spot, ready for your journey.
