Day 2: Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum → Linggu Temple → Liuhe Hotel

·morning

Around 7:30 in the morning, we set off for Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum by car. We often say that "Qiu Qixia" should share half of its fame with Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum.

We'll walk along a romantic path adorned with golden and fiery red, along the Stone Elephant Road. Amidst the vast forest, it's like stepping into a time tunnel, where golden and fiery red interweave to create a mirage of history. The Shinto Path is divided into two sections. The Stone Statue Road is the southern section, flanked by six animal statues. From the Shengongsheng Monument Pavilion, from south to north, they are lion, xiezhi, tuoma, elephant, qilin, and horse. Each species has one crouching pair and one standing upright, for a total of twelve pairs. Our guide will lead the way in a search for hidden gems of autumn.

We set off for Yanque Lake at the right time. In autumn, the bald cypress trees were reflected in the shimmering stream. The light red, dark red, golden red and various colors were intertwined with each other. The beauty was so touching that it was as dreamy as a fairyland.

·afternoon

After the viewing, we went to the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum scenic area and had a free meal there.

After a short rest, we continued to drive to Linggu Temple.

Linggu Temple is filled with a strong and brilliant, colorful and beautiful autumn scenery, as if God has overturned a palette. The golden tree in Linggu Temple is extremely charming under the blue sky. In Linggu Temple, you can see the confrontation between deep red and gold from every angle. You can feel it more deeply when you climb up the Linggu Tower and look down.

After the tour, in order to get up early to watch the sunrise tomorrow, we will take a bus to Liuhe Hotel and check in. We will have dinner at our own convenience.

Driving time: about 1.5 hours

Note: During the autumn season, there will be more tourists and the shuttle bus may encounter queues. We will adjust the tour itinerary and time appropriately according to the actual queue time. Please be informed of this when registering!

Day 3: Zhimaling → Chishan Lake Wetland Park → Accommodation near Qixia Mountain

·morning

Don't sleep in in the morning! Don't miss the sunrise over Zhimaling and the morning mist over the Metasequoia trees, which are truly dreamy. The Metasequoia trees, also known as the "water forest," are a classic sight in Zhimaling.

The pond cypress trees form a dense forest. Through the morning mist, you can take pictures of the sunlight shining through the trees and reflected in the water, which is as beautiful as an oil painting and very dreamy.

After enjoying the sunrise and the morning light of the pond cypress, we will return to the hotel to rest and have lunch at our leisure.

·afternoon

In the afternoon, we drove to [Chishan Lake Wetland Park] at the right time. The scenic area is large, and we left enough time here to take photos and visit.

Take a boat tour to explore the Great Pond Cypress Forest, a rare water forest resource in China and a rare pond cypress forest in East China. More than 50,000 pond cypress trees are covered in "red makeup" and stand in an orderly manner in the thousand-acre pond cypress lake.

The Swan Lake in Chishan Lake Wetland Park is a great place to photograph birds. It is a paradise for water birds, where all kinds of water birds live in harmony with humans, unrestrained and free to come and go.

Based on this, there are wonderful scenes of birds appearing both near and far, mostly at medium and long distances, and all kinds of birds swim unscrupulously in front of your eyes.

After the tour, we went to the accommodation near Qixia Mountain and had free time and dinner in the evening.

Driving time: about 2 hours

Day 4 Accommodation → Qixia Mountain → Nanjing South Railway Station

All day

After breakfast at the hotel, we headed to Qixia Mountain, one of China's four top spots for viewing red leaves. Qixia Mountain's "Qixia Red Maple" is listed as one of the Forty-Eight Scenic Spots of Jinling. Since the Ming Dynasty, there's a saying that goes, "Spring at Niu Shou, Autumn at Qixia."

Route for viewing maple leaves:

Entering from the main gate, you will directly reach Qixia Temple. In front of the temple, there are two large ancient ginkgo trees and the vermilion gate, which are both good spots for taking photos.

Going forward, you will pass by the Sutra Library. You can take a group photo of the white carved railings and buildings here, which have a very ancient flavor.

Then go to the "Reading Maple Pavilion" on Hushan Mountain and climb up to see the fiery red maple leaves. It is so beautiful that you can take portraits here. If you take aerial photos, it will be even more shocking.

Continue forward to Taohua Lake, where there are maples and lakes, creating a strong sense of layering. You can use the still lake surface to shoot reflections in the water, or use the red maples to blur the foreground and place the portrait in the middle, which will produce a different effect.

Then go to the Red Leaf Valley. On both sides of the winding path are large maple forests, which are particularly enchanting in red and yellow. Taking a group of portraits here will give you a feeling of clarity and emptiness. If the sunlight is just right, the photos will be very vivid and fresh.

·afternoon

At noon, we will have lunch on our own and then gather at the appropriate time. This marks the end of the Nanjing Autumn Scenery Tour. We will be taken to Nanjing South Railway Station together to end our pleasant journey.

Note: The train arrives at Nanjing South Railway Station at approximately 15:00. It is recommended to book a train after 16:00.

Note: Autumn is the peak tourist season in Qixia Mountain. Please understand and be patient if there is traffic jam.

In autumn, the Stone Elephant Road is decorated with colorful red, yellow, and green leaves, and the autumn painting painted by nature unfolds to people layer by layer.

Surrounded by thousands of acres of lush forest, the area is home to a variety of birds and animals, creating a pristine landscape.
