Warm reminder: The weather on the island changes quickly, and light rain has little impact. We will adjust the itinerary according to the real-time weather on the group. 14:00-16:00 Tidal Flat Campaign
1. A brief introduction to tides
How should beginners go catching seafood? Do your children know how to read tide tables? Going catching seafood at the right time not only yields a bountiful harvest, but also teaches you a safety skill!
When going to the beach, everyone gathers on the beach to share their skills and gains, making it easy to make friends with like-minded people and expand their social circle.
Bring your own bucket (you can bring your own, or we provide it on site) and let’s go to the mudflats!
The shores of Zhoushan are mostly rocky, and it is truly precious that Huaao Island has such a large area of pristine mudflats. It is simply a paradise for children!
Put on your gear and go have fun on the mudflats~~ Catch big-eyed crabs, jumping fish, pick up mud snails, and dig razor clams (in natural places, if you catch any, you can take them home). Be a little fisherman for a while and experience the daily life of the indigenous people on the island!
2. Picking duck eggs + pickling salted duck eggs
Mudflat ducks grow up eating mudflat creatures, and their eggs are large and delicious. Let's go to the mudflats together to collect duck eggs. After that, we'll learn about food preservation techniques. We'll make salted duck eggs with the eggs we collected (if time is tight, we'll leave that for another time).
A little knowledge about pickled duck eggs (get a life skill!)
Learn one more life skill, combine farming and happiness, and easily gain little life knowledge while playing. It’s worth it!
At the end of the event, you will receive a salted duck egg and double the happiness!
Activity Description: How many duck eggs you can pick up is up to you! However, each child can take away up to 7 duck eggs~~
16:00-17:00 Island ground trap
A brief introduction to the principles of trapping
Setting traps is a daily routine for the island's aboriginals. Let's learn how traps work and place the enchanted traps in the water, hoping for a good harvest tomorrow.
18:00-19:00 Dinner time
·night
19:00-20:00 Fluorescent Party
During the National Day (9.29-10.5) upgrade bonfire party ~
Come to a fluorescent party on the island, where children sing and dance together and play fluorescent shows~
Let's go stargazing~ Children who still have energy can follow the tour guide to go stargazing~~~ Find where the Big Dipper is, snuggle in the arms of mom and dad, and feel the warmth of this moment (depending on weather conditions, and the moon and stars are sparse around the 15th day of the lunar calendar)
Day 2 Hua'ao Island → Jingaoyi Pier → Hangzhou
·morning
07:00-07:30 Go fishing
Early risers, it's time to fish out the traps you set yesterday! After a night of waiting, what's in there? Catch some small shrimp and crabs to supplement your lunch!
07:30-08:30 Farmhouse breakfast (due to limited resources on the island, early check-out is required on holidays)
08:30-10:00 Donghai Stone Forest (filming location of Black Myth: Wukong!)
We have received a notice that the Stone Forest Scenic Area will be closed from July 4th to July 9th for equipment maintenance. For groups traveling during these days, any unused adult tickets will be refunded. The itinerary will be adjusted based on the situation on that day. Please be advised!!!
Volcanoes, also known as "Earth's Acne," reveal the secrets of volcanoes in a small classroom
Why do volcanoes erupt? What are the different types of volcanic eruptions? How did the Stone Forest form?
Let's take a hike along the mountain and sea to see what the cobblestone beach looks like and why there are so many large four-sided and hexagonal pillars here.
The geological phenomena here are extremely magical. After the volcanic eruption, the magma produced a vertical fission under the conditions of uniform cooling and slow contraction, thus forming a unique landscape.
Let’s go to the Stone Forest to explore this great and magical natural landscape!
There weren't many people there in the morning. We went to collect stones and do the "Mani Pile" stone challenge on the large pebble beach. Let's take on the challenge together!
11:00-12:30 Visit the intangible cultural heritage salt field
Hua'ao Island preserves an original salt field from Xiangshan. Here, we can learn about: Why is seawater salty? How is seawater density measured? And the detection and hazards of saline-alkali soil...
1. Salt Culture Museum: Learn about the story behind salt through images
2. Under the guidance of salt farmers, go to the crystal clear salt fields and experience the steps of drying and harvesting salt
3. Collect salt and keep a bottle of salt in a small glass bottle as a souvenir
Salting Challenge
After understanding the principles of salt drying, are there any kids who want to try making salt at home?
Kind tips:
This is a salt field that operates normally. Drying salt depends on the weather. If it rains, the field needs to be covered with a tarp, so the salt drying experience is not possible. Therefore, the tour leader will flexibly adjust the order of the activities over the two days to ensure a smooth experience for everyone.
12:30-13:20 Lunch
·afternoon
13:30-14:00 The ferry arrives at [Jingaoyi Pier], and the bus is waiting for us. Get on the bus and prepare to return.
14:00-18:30 The bus returns to the meeting point. Everyone is reluctant to leave and hugs each other and says goodbye (at least one service area is arranged for rest)
