Shuikou, the Qin and Han Dynasty Ancient Road, is a must-pass point for those traveling southward by land and water from Yangshan. During the Qin and Han dynasties, General Lu Debo, the Fubo General, set up camp in Shuikou. To commemorate this historical event, the towering peak at the confluence of the Lianjiang River and the Qigong River was named Jiangjun Mountain. The Shuikou Ancient Road was originally used for southern expeditions. Across the river from Jiangjun Mountain lies the rolling peaks of Baxian Mountain, where the Lianjiang River makes a 90-degree bend, creating the pinnacle of Lianjiang's scenic landscape. Take a leisurely boat ride and drift along the waves to truly appreciate its charm.

Shuikou Ancient Town was once a post station on the Hunan-Guangxi overland route to Guangzhou. At Shuikou, the Qin and Han Dynasty Ancient Road branched into two routes to Guangzhou: one to Qingyuan and then by water, and the other to Yingde and then by water. During the Anti-Japanese War, the ancient road underwent extensive restoration and played a vital role. Every bluestone slab on this ancient road holds a story, making it a precious historical site that bears witness to the economic and cultural integration of Lingnan and the Central Plains. The main section of the road is hidden within the rarely visited karst mountains, where numerous ancient stone slabs have been largely preserved. Winding through beautiful valleys, visitors can glimpse the entire ancient road. Along the way, they'll pass by thousand-year-old camphor trees, ancient stone gates, and stone forests. The scenery is truly breathtaking. This stone forest is the largest contiguous Yangshi forest discovered in Guangdong. The scenery along the ancient road is breathtaking, with breathtaking peaks and valleys, and the majestic and beautiful stone forest. Walking through the stone forest, one will be captivated by the diverse and beautiful Yangshi stones.
