All day

07:15-07:30 Gather at the designated location of China-TravelNote and sign in. 07:30 Depart on time, interact with the tour leader, laugh and chat along the way, and arrive at the destination unknowingly.

Around 10:30 AM, we arrived at Rongshan Village. Following our guide's pace, we stretched our arms and legs along the village road and soon reached the starting point. Following the long forest trail, we arrived at Yunquan Temple. Halfway up, we took a break before ascending the stone steps to Dawujian Peak.

At noon, we ascended to the Fragrant Hill Zen Temple at Dawujian. Shaoxing City lay spread out beneath us, and the temple, wafting with incense, felt like a 360-degree observation deck, taking in the magnificent scenery. On a clear day, you could even see the distant Hangzhou skyline – a truly breathtaking sight!

Around 13:00, we walked down the mountain along the bluestone steps and arrived at the end point near Daijia Village, where we gathered and set off for the Yellow Wine Town.

Around 2:00 PM, we arrived at Huangjiu Town. This is the birthplace of Shaoxing Huangjiu, also known as Dongpu Ancient Town. Journeying through millennia of time, rowboats sway along the waterside, the aroma of wine lingers. Once upon a time, every household in the town brewed Huangjiu, and even today, wine jars and other vessels can be found throughout the streets and alleys. Strolling the streets, savoring aged wine, visiting distilleries, and enjoying a fennel bean, the atmosphere of Shaoxing's literati, poetry, and wine permeated the air, elevating the senses.

Note: (Yellow wine has a high alcohol content, so please be careful not to drink too much. Minors are not allowed to drink.)

Around 16:00, we gathered for the return trip, and the bus was waiting for us not far away.

We arrived at Mingshen Center around 19:00. We were still reluctant to leave and said goodbye with tears in our eyes!!!

Driving time: Shanghai to Shaoxing, about 3 hours.

Hiking: The hike is about 5 km and the climb is about 320 m.

1. What if it rains during the event?

2-3 days before the event, we will decide whether the event will proceed as scheduled based on the weather forecast and route conditions. Please pay attention to our notifications. Most activities can proceed as usual even if there is light rain. There is still fun to be had on rainy days. If heavy rain is forecast, the event will be cancelled and a full refund will be given to everyone.

2. Is this route crowded?

Most of our routes are natural and niche, with relatively small traffic. Of course, it also depends on the registration situation for each period. Generally, ordinary models are 37-seat buses, and a few large models are 53-seat. Each car has a certain proportion of tour leaders to ensure the quality of the event.

Shaoxing Yellow Wine Town, located in Dongpu, is the birthplace of Shaoxing Yellow Wine, boasting a history of over 1,600 years. It's often said that "Yue wine is known throughout the world, and Dongpu wine is the best." Home to the great Tang Dynasty writer He Zhizhang, the patriotic Southern Song Dynasty poet Lu You, and the Xinhai Revolution martyr Xu Xilin, the town is known as "a water town, a wine town, a bridge town, and a hometown of celebrities." It's a unique town that blends the charm of Jiangnan water towns with the essence of yellow wine culture.
