Today is a full-day gathering day in Qingdao. We especially recommend the following areas for you to choose from and get to know the beauty of Qingdao for the first time.

The Qingdao Art Museum-Xinhao Hill-Xiaoyu Hill CW route allows you to see the development of Qingdao's modern history. The art museum is very niche and is also a good place to take pictures.
Around the art museum and in the alleys of Longshan Road, there are many handmade workshops and cafes where you can experience modern silver jewelry making techniques.
During your free time, please be careful and stay safe! In the evening, your team leader will confirm the next day's itinerary and schedule with you.


Day 2 Hotel → Tsingtao Beer Museum → Liangquan Village → Xiaowang Village → Yangkou

At 9:00, we first headed to the Beer Museum. Tsingtao Beer belongs to China and the world.
This is a good place to showcase the beer-making process to the world and let us understand how this imported product, beer, took root in Qingdao.
In the museum, we can smell the aroma of different hops, taste the flavor of various malts, and taste the difference between the original beer and white beer just made in the factory. We can also experience the feeling of being drunk without getting drunk in the drunken hut.
After experiencing the century-old beer, we headed to the Beizhai area after lunch.

We arrived at Liangquan Village around 14:00. Many of the elderly people in the village had moved out and the village had been transformed into an ideal village.
We looked for craftsmen who stayed in the village and followed the teacher to learn Jiaodong paper-cutting, using jagged pieces to piece together various animal shapes.
Around 15:00 we headed to Xiaowang Village, the birthplace of Wanggezhuang steamed buns.
There is a steamed bun museum here. As soon as you enter the museum, you will be filled with the aroma of yeast.
After the tour with our instructor, we made our own Jiaodong flower buns, observing how pieces of dough are shaped into various shapes. While the dough was rising, we also made Laoshan jelly, replicating the wisdom of the Laoshan people through the seaweed gel technique.
We plan to go to Yangkou Scenic Area at 17:00, stay in Yangkou Scenic Area, and feel the beauty brought by the mountains and the sea.


Day 3 Yangkou → Weifang Yangjiabu → Shihu Garden → Qingzhou Ancient City

At 8:00 we packed our luggage and headed to Yangjiabu, Weifang.
This is the birthplace of Yangjiaobu New Year paintings, one of the three major Chinese New Year paintings. Our way of touring here today is different from the past.
First, we went to visit the home of Mr. Yang Naidong, the inheritor of the intangible cultural heritage of Yangjiaobu New Year paintings, to see the master's family workshop and experience printing Yangjiaobu New Year paintings here.
We then headed to Yangjiabu Grand View Garden, where you'll find the New Year Painting Museum and the Kite Museum, offering a fascinating glimpse into the history of New Year paintings and kite-making techniques, as well as a glimpse into the present and past of Yangjiabu. In the performance hall, you'll see how New Year paintings are systematically made.

Around 14:00 we headed to the Shihu Garden area, which is the birthplace of the history and culture of old Weixian County.
Here you can also see the differences between the old Weixian kites, old Weixian New Year pictures and Yangjiaobu. We follow the inheritor of the kite craftsmanship of Banmofang to make skeleton kites here. If you are interested, you can also experience the old Weixian New Year pictures (rubbings of New Year pictures).
Go to Qingzhou Ancient City in the evening and take a night stroll in Qingzhou Ancient City.


Day 4: Qingzhou Ancient City → Zibo Ceramics and Glass Museum → Yanshen Ancient Town

Today we are looking for the intangible cultural heritage of colored glaze. According to legend, when Nuwa repaired the sky, the five-colored stones she used turned into colorful colored glaze to repair the sky.
At 8:00 in the morning, we set out from the ancient city of Qingzhou and headed to the Zibo Ceramics and Glass Museum to experience the culture and history of glass.
We expected to arrive at the museum at 9:30. We followed the lecturer to stroll through the exhibition hall. From ancient glass beads from the Western Zhou Dynasty to modern glass lamps, the exhibits spanned thousands of years of time and space!
The museum's treasures, such as the Northern Wei Dynasty green-glazed lotus vase and the Warring States period glass beads, each shines with the wisdom of the craftsmen.
After exploring the museum, we took a bus to Boshan District.

Speaking of Weifang's handicraft heritage, Boshan is the root here. We went to Yanshen Ancient Town, which is the root of Boshan.
We will arrive at Yanshen Ancient Town around 14:00. The ancient kiln has been restored and reused, and the former ceramic factory has been turned into a museum. You can see the inside of the ancient kiln here, and follow the lecturer to learn about the process of firing ceramics and glass in the ancient kiln.
Afterwards, we worked on glass crafts in the handcraft hall and experienced the craft of making glass hairpins with our own hands; as the sun set, we tasted Boshan cuisine together and felt the uniqueness of Zibo's Eight Great Bowls.
At night we stayed in a homestay in Yanshen Ancient Town. After the tourists left, we could enjoy the entire scenic area.


Day 5 Yanshen Ancient Town → Zhangqiu Mingshui Ancient Town

We woke up naturally at 9:00. In the morning, there would be a glass performance in the museum. The intangible cultural heritage inheritor would perform on-site glass firing and different crafts.
After watching the performance, we went to the Ceramics Museum to experience pottery throwing and see how pieces of clay are turned into finished products.
Around 12:00 we set off from Boshan and headed to Jinan area.
When talking about Jinan, we have to mention Zhangqiu, which is the birthplace of iron pot and also the former residence of Li Qingzhao.
We arrive at Mingshui Ancient Town at 1:00 PM, where we'll have the opportunity to observe the art of Zhangqiu iron wok making. We'll then visit the former site of the park's daily newspaper office, where Li Qingzhao's poems were printed using movable type. We'll then visit the Baimai Spring area of Li Qingzhao's former residence, where numerous stele tablets of her poems are located. We'll follow our instructor's on-site rubbing process, using the entire stele to create a poem.
Then we went to the stage to watch the Zhangqiu Bangzi opera performance and listen to the music of the Song Dynasty palace banquet.
In the evening, go to the lantern making area to make bamboo lanterns and release them into the river for blessings.
As the lights came on, after dining in the garden, we went to the VIP area to watch the spring show and drone show and feel the beauty of the Spring City.
Then return to the hotel in the park to rest.


Day 6 Mingshui Ancient City → Jinan Qushuiting Street → Drop off

Today we are going to act like people from ancient times. We are going to have a different way of having breakfast and go to the early morning wine market in Mingshui Ancient Town.
From 7:00 to 9:00, we go to the early morning market in the ancient city. The breakfast here is very rich in Shandong characteristics, including pancakes, dumplings, buns, soup, etc. We can choose our favorite food from different stalls, as if we have traveled back to the early morning of ancient times.
Around 9:30, we headed to Qushuiting Street in Jinan, where is the Baihuazhou area, with many large and small intangible cultural heritage workshops scattered around. Today we were looking for Jinan shadow puppetry. Speaking of shadow puppetry, the shadow puppetry of Mount Tai is well-known, but what is not known is that Jinan shadow puppetry also has a place in Shandong. We watched the shadow puppetry performance in the shadow puppetry house and also experienced the shadow puppetry intangible cultural heritage up close.
We will send you to the station at 12:00, after dropping you off at Jinan Station/Jinan West Station, you will arrive at Jinan West Station around 13:00, thus ending your intangible cultural heritage tour.
