Shanghai China-TravelNote has launched a new Super Weekend IP, allowing you to enjoy the outdoors in East China. This time we’re heading to Qiandao Lake and bravely conquering its highest peak – Jinzijian!
Today, we set out from Shanghai High-Speed Railway Station to kick off~
High-speed rail meeting: After registration, tourists need to take the Shanghai high-speed rail to Qiandao Lake High-speed Railway Station. Our first night's accommodation is arranged next to the high-speed rail station. After arrival, you need to go there by yourself. The tour leader will be waiting there for a long time.
Friends who arrive at Qiandao Lake in advance can form their own team to simply play Qiandao Lake and have a meal. The team leader will ask each person about the equipment they have brought.
Notice:
On weekdays, you can take the high-speed rail at night (choose a convenient high-speed rail batch according to your working hours). On holidays, it is recommended to follow the flight for which you can grab a ticket.
Considering that the group will be gathered by high-speed rail, China-TravelNote will provide gas tanks. If you need them, it is recommended to purchase them locally or have them shipped to a local homestay in advance (prerequisite: the group will be formed).

Day 2 B&B → Jinzijian

Set off!!!
【8:00】：We finished breakfast at the B&B,
[8:30]: After packing up our equipment, we took a chartered car to Jinzijian, ready to start today’s challenge!
9:30 AM: We arrived at the trailhead and, after a thorough warm-up, prepared to climb! Jinzijian, also known as the "Little Huangshan Mountain of Western Zhejiang," offers a spectacular mountain landscape with streams, canyon rocks, ancient trails with withered pines, and continuous peaks with dramatic elevation differences.
[12:00]: We found a suitable place to prepare meals and rest.
[15:00]: Arrive at the camping site and start setting up camp. To ensure the camping experience, the camping sites may be divided into 2~3 places, each of which will be assigned a tour guide.
18:00: After setting up camp, everyone followed the leader and headed to the summit of Jinzijian to see the sunset. (When you see the sunset over Jinzijian, you'll understand why it's called Jinzijian.)

The sunset we met
The whole mountain is covered with gold, sprinkled on the mountains, stones, silver grass sprinkled on the distant lake, and the birds flying in the sky sprinkled on the lovely faces of companions... It is so charming that you don't want to leave.
8:00 PM: After watching the sunset, everyone returns to camp. While protecting the environment, we begin cooking in a civilized manner outdoors. Everyone gathers around the fire, chatting and reminiscing about past anecdotes. Slowly and quietly, we savor the charm of outdoor camping!
Due to the geographical reasons, the light pollution has reached a very good level 2, which is already a good place for stargazing in the whole Zhejiang Province!
As time goes by,
The camping lights illuminated everyone's face, warm and friendly.
There was silence all around, with only the occasional chirping of insects and the sound of breeze rustling the leaves.
We held our breath and seemed to hear the ticking of time in our ears.
On this quiet night, our heartbeats are synchronized with the pulse of the universe, and we admire the magnificent starry sky.
Day 3 Campsite → Foot of the Mountain → Qiandao Lake High-Speed Railway Station

As the night slowly fades away, the world is immersed in tranquility.
The stars gradually disappeared, and the sky changed from dark blue to light gray, heralding the arrival of a new day.
We stood on the top of Qiandao Lake, breathing the first breath of air in the morning, feeling the peace and tranquility of nature.
The sunrise and sea of clouds at the top of Jinzijian are truly unique. Everyone took some beautiful photos of their lives at the top of the mountain and prepared to slowly descend the mountain. The road conditions were complicated, so we went down slowly.
【9:00】
After watching the sunrise, we returned to the camp, had a simple breakfast and washed up, and then began to pack up and prepare to return.
The trail is mostly downhill, with varied and interesting terrain, including rope-assisted sections and gravel sections. Bring your trekking poles, knee pads, and other gear.
The stream at the foot of the mountain is very clear! If you are lucky, you may even see salamanders.
Around 12:00
Arrive at the farmhouse at the foot of the mountain, eat the group meal on a AA basis or pay for it yourself, take a short break after the meal, and return to Qiandao Lake High-speed Railway Station
Around 16:00, take the bus to the high-speed rail station
We arrived at Qiandao Lake High-speed Railway Station, and everyone can return to Shanghai one after another
Since the time of descent is not uniform, it is recommended to book a bus after 17:00.
