08:30
Gather and take a bus to Laolihai, the filming location of "Goodbye, Lover", where we stroll along the lake and take photos.
10:30
Drive to Chayouhou Banner to taste the authentic Inner Mongolia Sunite mutton hotpot.
13:00
After lunch, we will head to the Ulan Hada Volcano, the closest volcano group to Beijing. The main peak of Volcano No. 5 rises from the plain at an altitude of 2,278 meters. The traces of the magma surge billions of years ago are still clearly visible: the "volcanic carpet" paved with black basalt, the crater sunken like a giant bowl, and the "stone sea" formed by the condensation of the eruption.
Arrive at the North Visitor Center and transfer to the shuttle bus to Volcano 3. Climb the wooden plank path to the summit and gaze out over the peak of Volcano 4, which is as round as a steamed bun, while the steep cliffs of Volcano 6 resemble split black bread. The landscape is filled with a desolate and poetic atmosphere. Afterward, take the bus to Volcano 4 for photos and a check-in. After your visit, proceed to Volcano 6. While the volcanic cone is incomplete due to human damage, the clear cross-section is rare, revealing its brownish-red interior. From above, it resembles a stunning work of art.
Afterwards, we'll head to Volcano No. 8, where our team leader will lead a treasure hunt and agate collection beneath the volcano. Return to the scenic area's visitor center and board a bus to Hohhot.
6:00 PM
Upon arrival at the hotel in Hohhot, check in, have dinner and rest.

Day 3 Hohhot → Kubuqi Desert

After arriving at the camp, we will have lunch and then check into the Desert Container Hotel to rest.
2:00 PM
The team leader will help everyone warm up and get ready to start the desert hiking journey.
Led by our team leader, we entered the desert. Every step we took into the sand felt like an embrace with the earth. Under the scorching sun, the dunes shimmered in golden light, a dazzling display of nature. Before reaching the finish line, we'd descend a large dune. Hand in hand, we'd hear the rustling of sand, a roaring sound that felt like a truly powerful symphony, unplayable by humans! (The desert hike is approximately 5 kilometers long, depending on your performance.)
Return to the container hotel in time, climb the sand dunes and enjoy the desert sunset.
6:00 PM
Dinner and rest after meal.
9:00 PM
A professional teacher will lead you to [Desert Stargazing]. The teacher will explain each constellation to you and use a telescope to observe the moon and stars.
You can see the Milky Way like an inverted hourglass, pouring from the tip of Cygnus to the tail hook of Scorpio. The stars are so dense that you can seem to hear each other's whispers. Even the "stardust" flowing out of the spout of Sagittarius's teapot casts tiny spots of light on the sand.

Day 4 Kubuqi Desert Camp
05:00
5:00-5:30|Voluntarily go to the sand dunes to enjoy the [Desert Sunrise]. The moment the round sun breaks free from the sea of sand, thousands of golden rays of light pierce the morning mist like sharp arrows.
08:00
Breakfast at the hotel restaurant, followed by free time. You may ride a desert buggy or UTV at your own expense. You may also go sandboarding on the dunes or take photos at the sand house.
11:30
Lunch at a desert restaurant.
1:30 PM
Today's Desert Hike begins. Your guide will take you on a hidden, scenic route with few visitors. Desert hiking is more challenging than mountain trekking, with every step you take you sinking. It's a test of your willpower and resolve. Before you lies the boundless golden desert, extending deeper into the desert. Return to your hotel in due time.
As the sun sets, our guide leads us to the sand dunes next to the hotel. The afterglow of the setting sun divides the sky into distinct layers, and the light filters through the gaps in the clouds, casting streaks of golden light that seem to cast a mysterious veil over the desert. We sit on the dunes and admire the desert sunset before returning to the camp.
6:00 PM
Enjoy dinner at the desert restaurant and rest afterwards.

Day 5 Kubuqi Desert Camp → Thousand Island Lake → Baotou
08:00
Breakfast at the hotel restaurant followed by a bus to the Desert Thousand Island Lake. Since there are no restaurants near the lake, resupply at Jirigalangtu Town along the way. Here, the lake shimmers with shimmering sand, and the sky and water intersect. The Yellow River flows into the desert, precipitating the sediment over time, leaving it crystal clear, like a series of blue gemstones, creating the spectacular "Desert Thousand Island" spectacle.
10:30
[Desert Thousand Island Lake] Hike along the lakeside and, as you get deeper, you'll gradually discover the wondrous blend of desert and lake. Waterways meander along ravines, converging into patches of water and wetlands across the desert. Blue sky, clear water, and verdant greenery dot the golden sands, creating a vibrant tapestry of harmonious water and sand.
Find the right lunch at the right time.
4:30 PM
Return to Baotou by bus, check in to the hotel and rest after dinner.
