Day 2 Hotel → Huangshan → Hotel outside Hongcun
·morning
From 08:00 to 08:20, take the Yungu Cable Car up the mountain, which takes 10 minutes to reach Baie Ridge. From the cable car, you can overlook the Emerald Valley, the Fairy's Finger Road and other scenic spots.
The main attractions to visit in the morning are as follows. The itinerary of the day is subject to actual arrangements and is affected by weather and physical conditions:
Shixin Peak
If you don’t reach Shixin Peak, you won’t see any Huangshan pines. Here are the ten most famous Huangshan pines:
Black Tiger Pine (700 years old, with branches resembling a tiger),
Twin Pines (two pines from the same root, symbolizing love),
and Harp Pine (shaped like a harp, perfect for photo ops).
Dream Brush and Cool Terrace
Dream Pen Blooms: The solitary peak resembles a pen, and the pines on the peak resemble flowers, a tribute to the legend of Li Bai.
Qingliang Terrace: One of the best spots for watching the sunrise at Huangshan, overlooking the Monkey Kings watching the sea.
Monkeys watching the sea
The huge rock looks like a squatting monkey. When it is surrounded by clouds and mist, it looks like a "monkey watching the sea", and when the sky is clear, it looks like a "monkey looking at peace".
Paiyun Pavilion/Xihai Hotel
Paiyun Pavilion: Overlooking the West Sea Grand Canyon, the rolling clouds and mist are like a fairyland.
Lunch suggestion: Bring your own dry food, or have a simple meal at Xihai Hotel.
·afternoon
Guangmingding
Huangshan's second highest peak (1,860 meters) offers a 360-degree panoramic view of Lotus Peak and Tiandu Peak.
The landmark spherical weather station is a great place for photo opportunities.
Aoyu Peak & Hundred-Step Cloud Ladder
Aoyu Peak: Shaped like a giant turtle, you can walk through the "Aoyu Cave" or tackle the steep steps of "A Line of Sky." (If you're not physically fit, take the Lotus New Road to the Welcoming Pine.)
Hundred-Step Cloud Ladder: Over 100 nearly vertical steps. Descending is easier than ascending, but caution is still advised.
Welcoming Pine
The symbol of Huangshan, a thousand-year-old tree, leans against the Green Lion Stone, with the majestic Tiandu Peak in the background.
Yuping Tower: The viewing platform offers panoramic views of the Welcoming Pine, and there are abundant cliff carvings nearby.
At about 15:30, we got off the Yuping Cableway and took a 10-minute cable car ride to Ciguang Pavilion, ending our Huangshan trip.
Required items: Non-slip shoes, trekking poles, sun hat, drinking water, disposable raincoat (climate changes in the mountains).
Optional adjustments: If you feel physically exhausted, the guide will adjust the route based on the actual situation.

Day 3 Hongcun → Jiaxi River Rafting → Qiyun Mountain Resort Hotel
·morning
06:00-07:30, ink painting in the morning mist. If you can get up early, you can go to Hongcun on your own and enjoy the undisturbed
morning light of Hongcun Nanhu.
Enjoy the moment: In the early morning mist, the reflections of Nanhu Lake resemble wet ink, a mirror-like world devoid of tourists. Enjoy
the lotus photo-op: In July, the water lilies in the lake begin to bloom. Slowly walk along the painted bridge to capture the "endless green lotus leaves reaching the sky."
Hidden camera position: From the stone steps to the left of the Lake Pavilion, capture the symmetrical composition of the Hui-style horse-head wall and lotus flowers from a low angle.
Moon Pond Quiet Shadow
The Heart of the Ancient Village: The early morning Moon Pond resembles a slab of jade, the clatter of laundry hammers and the ripples of water akin to the soundtrack of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.
Light and Shadow Magic: Around 7 a.m., the rising sun gilds the white walls of the Wang Clan Ancestral Hall, creating a stunning video stream straight from your phone.
·morning
08:00-11:30, follow the guide and roam around Hongcun
Explore the wisdom of Huizhou merchants' mansions at Chengzhi Hall
: The breeze under the atrium is cooler than air conditioning, and look up to see the drainage secrets of the "Four Waters Returning to the Hall."
Visually refreshing: Look for the "ice-cracked window lattices." The ancients used wood carvings to simulate ice patterns, creating a visual cooling effect—a truly ingenious way.
Shuren Hall -
500-year-old red and white trees offer shade: Relax beneath the Ginkgo (Ginkgo biloba) and Populus rubra (Populus rubra) trees, and experience a 5°C drop in perceived temperature.
Pray for blessings under the ancient trees: Villagers say walking around the Populus rubra three times brings blessings. When in Rome, do as the Romans do, and why not join in the fun?
For village cuisine
, avoid the main street and head to "Old Lady's Mao Tofu," located in the alley behind Hongcun Restaurant, for freshly fried, slightly spicy Mao Tofu (the oil is the cleanest in the morning). Pair it with a cup of chilled mung bean soup, served in a bamboo cup, for a photo op with a touch of vintage charm.
Off-peak gameplay
After 10 a.m., tour groups flock to Nanhu Lake. We can visit:
Jingdetang Alley: Take photos of the deserted bluestone road and ivy walls.
Leigang Mountain Observation Deck (10-minute climb): Overlook Hongcun's panoramic views and experience the blues after the morning mist has cleared.
Summer exclusive tips:
Dressing: Light-colored cotton and linen clothes + non-slip sandals (bluestone is slippery in the morning dew).
Anti-mosquito: Good ecology, prevention is more comfortable, carry mosquito repellent with you.
11:30-13:00, free lunch, many options inside and outside the scenic area, there is always one that suits you.
·afternoon

From 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM, Tai Chi, rooted in the core concepts of Tai Chi and the Yin-Yang dialectic of traditional Chinese Confucian and Taoist philosophy, integrates multiple functions, including nourishing temperament, strengthening the body, and combating. It emphasizes using softness to overcome hardness, waiting for movement through stillness, transforming the round into the straight, using the small to defeat the large, and using the weak to overcome the strong. It integrates the principles of martial arts, medicine, and philosophy. Tai Chi emphasizes the unity of man and nature, the unity of form and spirit. It combines movement and stillness in the interlocking of fists, seeking stillness within movement. It advocates "guiding qi with intention, and moving the body with qi," emphasizing full relaxation. The internal and external integration of "training the mind, training qi, and training the body" is a unique martial art that combines hardness and softness, a rhythmic rhythm of speed and slowness, and the alternating accumulation and release of energy, all controlled by internal strength. Qiyun Mountain is the birthplace of Tai Chi for health preservation. Here, learn health-preserving Tai Chi from a master practitioner and strengthen your body.
