Rudong,
known as the "Hometown of Chinese Clams," boasts the world's most delicious clams. Clam soup nourishes yin and moistens dryness. "Clam steamed eggs, even children can eat without being called!
" "Drunken mud snails with porridge, even the gods won't leave."
Rudong residents love marinating mud snails in rice wine as a side dish, offering a savory, savory flavor with a hint of wine. For those unfamiliar with the dish, try the stir-fried mud snails.
"Swimming crabs are everywhere, and the delicious flavor hits you head-on." The
swimming crabs found in the waters off Rudong are incredibly plump. Fishermen believe that "male crabs are eaten for the meat, and female crabs for the roe." They are at their peak in autumn.

The world's largest open-air " dance floor " - Sea Disco

Welcome to the sea disco. The mudflats are soft, so falls and slips are painless. With the sea breeze as your companion, follow the footsteps of the seafood below and feel the unique rhythm of the mudflats, each step creating a wave of mud! Grab your bucket and shovel and get busy searching for treasures! Clams, clams, clams, bamboo clams, and other shellfish and seafood—the sea's bounty will make you scream! Whatever you find is yours! Besides shellfish hunting, you can also challenge yourself to a game of mudflat football or volleyball! Afterward, you can rinse your feet in the shower area (showers are not allowed). Bring a change of clothes; a simple towel is provided with your admission ticket.

Note 1: Sea catching is only available during low tide. Low tide times vary slightly from batch to batch, so today's and next day's itineraries may be adjusted based on low tide times. High and low tide times may vary slightly in the event of strong winds or thunderstorms. The end and start times of sea catching will be based on the low tide schedule for that day.

The ideal low tide hours for catching seafood on August 9th and 10th are 5:00 AM to 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM to 9:30 PM, respectively. Exact times may vary, so please be aware that adjustments will be made if your trip doesn't coincide with the most suitable low tide times. The results are not guaranteed, so please be prepared. Tonight we are staying at the Links Hot Spring Hotel (5 diamonds on Ctrip) in the core area of Xiaoyangkou Tourist Resort. The hotel’s own hot spring park and water world (open from 10:00-22:00 in summer) are the favorites of parent-child families. The floating wave pool imported from Germany, the water slide, the fun bucket, and the full-screen LED screen on the ceiling give children a personal ocean experience. Children can experience a different kind of rapids under safe protection, and parents can feel the long-lost innocence of childhood with their children!

Dinner tonight is free to arrange and you can choose to dine at the hotel restaurant nearby.

Driving distance: Suzhou-Nantong Rudong 180km/2.5-3h

Note: Nature is diverse, not all seas are blue. The sea in Nantong is not as azure as you might imagine. There are three reasons for this: 1. The Yangtze River washes down too many "mud couriers" (silt); 2. The water here is very shallow, and the silt easily "stays put"; 3. The sunlight is reflected by the silt, and you can't see the blue color!
