11:30
As we approach the village, the rice fields in front of us are already full of life. We can get off the car and walk into the village to feel this gift from autumn.
Around 11:30 AM, we arrived at the starting point of the Meiwu Ancient Trail and began our hike. The Meiwu Ancient Trail connects Shangpu and Dongguan, documenting millennia of travel. Xie An also visited this area, and the Qiema Bridge where he rested remains intact. We entered from Meiwu Village and crossed Qiema Bridge to the entrance of the ancient trail. We passed by century-old sweetgum trees, flanked by lush forests and the reflection of Cheng Lake, a vibrant emerald green. The moss-covered roadside reflects the passage, offering a wealth of scenic views along the way. We ascended the ancient trail, passing through a small path in the fir forest and the Anti-Japanese War Trail, and strolled along the gurgling Mei Creek. A clear stream. Mountains teemed with lush bamboo, Cheng Lake nestled within the valley, and plum blossoms bloomed in the bamboo forest. Strolling through the landscape, the bamboo trees on either side shaded the sky.
1:30 PM
After finishing the hike, we drove to the Phoenix Mountain Archaeological Site Park. A cool breeze blew over the reservoir, and the dense Metasequoia trees on the side had already foreshadowed the arrival of autumn. Everyone moved freely in the village and took crazy photos.
4:00 PM
The bus had been waiting for a long time, so we got on and returned to Shanghai.
7:00 PM
Arriving in Shanghai, we all said goodbye with tears in our eyes.
