We arrived at the hiking point around 10:30 AM. After disembarking and assembling, we walked through the village and arrived at the Xiamushan Reservoir. The path leading up to the reservoir was a sea of ​​bamboo. We took photos as we walked, following the ancient path left by our predecessors.
Around 12:30 PM, we reached the summit, where a pavilion stood. In front of the pavilion was a large valley, embracing the Xiamushan Reservoir, which is fed by mountain spring water. To the west of the Wanshou Pavilion was the 13-story Jinling Thousand Buddha Pagoda. Yunlin Zen Temple was located at the foot of the slope to the north. Looking east, Gucheng was visible.

After a short rest, we continued on our journey. Descending along the ancient trail, the mountains twisted and turned, the trees were lush, and the birdsong was the only sound. Soon, we reached the winding mountain road, and the endless tea fields appeared before us. After about 20 minutes of walking along the winding mountain road, we turned into the fascinating bamboo forest hiking section. Walking through the bamboo forest path, time flies by.


Take a bus to Nanxun Ancient Town at an appropriate time. Nestled in the heart of the beautiful and fertile Hangzhou-Jiaxing-Huzhou Plain, Nanxun Ancient Town boasts a rich and well-preserved history, boasting a rich cultural heritage. Known as the "cover of the six Jiangnan ancient towns," it is the only national 5A scenic spot in Huzhou City and one of the earliest Jiangnan ancient towns in China to be inscribed on the World Cultural Heritage List. 2-3 days before the event, we will decide whether the event will proceed as scheduled based on the weather forecast and route conditions. Please pay attention to our notifications. Most activities can proceed as usual even if there is light rain. There is still fun to be had on rainy days. If heavy rain is forecast, the event will be cancelled and a full refund will be given to everyone.

3. Is this route crowded?

Most of our routes are natural and niche, with relatively small traffic. Of course, it also depends on the registration situation for each period. Generally, ordinary models are 37-seat buses, and a few large models are 53-seat. Each car has a certain proportion of tour leaders to ensure the quality of the event.

Xiamu Mountain, a remnant of Tianmu Mountain, lies approximately 25 kilometers southwest of Huzhou, divided between Wuxing District and Changxing County. The Ming Chongzhen Chronicle states: "Climbing the steep and rugged path, one can see Taihu Lake, with the mountains below. The mountain is often covered in clouds and mist, hence the name." Xiamu Mountain, 560 meters above sea level, boasts lush forests and bamboo groves, clear streams, fresh air, and pleasant scenery. At its peak lies the Xiamu Spring, known as the "Heavenly Lake." Beneath the mountain lie the Xiamu Mountain Reservoir, Gufeng Reservoir, Shichuanwu Reservoir, and Dingniangling Reservoir. Since ancient times, the mountain has been known as "Mogan Mountain Scenery, Xiamu Mountains and Waters."

Nanxun has a history of more than 750 years since its establishment. It has a rich historical heritage and profound cultural heritage. With its unique historical status and cultural landscape, it has won the titles of "China's Top Ten Charming Towns" and "China's Historical and Cultural Town". There are many scenic spots and historical sites in the town, such as Xiaolianzhuang, Jiayetang, Baijianlou, Zhang Shiming's former residence, etc., which are in harmony with the natural scenery. It is full of rich historical and cultural heritage and aura, and is overflowing with the poetic and picturesque charm of the Jiangnan water town.
