Hong Kong's version of Wugong Mountain | Hike Jigong Ridge and encounter alpine grasslands

Day 1 Shenzhen → Hong Kong → Jigongling → Shenzhen

09:00

Please gather at Gate 3 of Shenzhen Futian Port (Exit B of the subway station). Friends who need to exchange Hong Kong dollars or purchase Octopus cards should come in advance and find a store at the port to handle it.

09:30

When you arrive at Shenzhen Futian Port to cross the border, please be sure to prepare your Hong Kong and Macau Pass and ensure that the pass is valid.

10:00

After crossing the border, we shared a taxi to the starting point of the hike, Fan Kam Highway, Shibaxiang. The total price was about HK$100 (paid by the tour leader). There was no convenience store at the starting point, so please prepare the necessary water and dry food before and after crossing the border.

10:30

After arriving at the hiking starting point and the mountain entrance, the team leader led everyone to do a simple warm-up before starting today's hike.

11:30

Find a cool place to have a simple lunch, and welcome everyone to share the food with each other.

1:30 PM

After reaching the top of the mountain to check in, you can lie down together on the green meadow and take various blockbuster photos.

4:00 PM

After reaching the mountain foot road, walk 200 meters to the Fengji Township bus stop. Everyone said goodbye and the group dispersed smoothly. Tourists can take the No. 75 minibus directly to Futian Port for HK$10, or take a taxi to Futian Port in groups for approximately HK$90.

5:00 PM

We passed through Futian Port and returned to Shenzhen smoothly. We will meet again for the next event.

Hiking: Total route: 7km+, road conditions: stone steps, dirt road, gravel road, hiking time: 4-5 hours, cumulative climb: about 586 meters

Note: As a coastal city, Hong Kong's weather can be volatile. For safety reasons, hiking activities may be canceled due to typhoons, heavy rain, and other factors. If the activity is canceled due to weather conditions, we will fully refund your payment. However, any consequential losses (including but not limited to airfare, hotel, visa fees, etc.) will be borne by you. Thank you for your understanding.

Cock's Nest, 574 meters above sea level, is located in the northern New Territories of Hong Kong. Its summit is covered in lush meadows, and its ridgeline stretches as far as the eye can see. The ridge offers exceptionally expansive views, encompassing Hong Kong's Sheung Shui, Ma On Shan, Tai Mo Shan, Castle Peak, Tai Tung Shan, Phoenix Mountain in the distance, and the Mai Po Nature Reserve near Shenzhen Bay.
