Guangyuan City, formerly known as Lizhou, is known as the "Gateway to Northern Sichuan and the Throat of the Shu Road." It is a focal point for the culture of the pre-Qin plank roads and the Shu Road, a core corridor of Three Kingdoms history and culture, and the birthplace of Wu Zetian, the only female emperor in Chinese history. It combines the gentle and humid climate of the south with the clear skies of the north. The Jialing River flows through the city, and cultural relics are scattered along the river.

Guangyuan City Museum
Focusing on the "Jianmen Shu Road" and the "Hometown of the Empress," the Guangyuan Museum offers a multi-dimensional perspective on Guangyuan's history and culture through the use of cultural relics, intangible cultural heritage, and digital technology. It serves as a vital cultural heritage preservation and education center for the Bashu region. Tourists are recommended to visit the Shu Road Exhibition Hall to gain a general understanding of the historical background of the Shu Road. The museum offers free guided tours from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM and from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM. Interested visitors should check out these scheduled hours.

Phoenix Mountain Park
The Phoenix Tower in the park is a landmark of Guangyuan city. Climbing to the top of the tower, you can enjoy a wide view and overlook the outline of Guangyuan's old city.

Day 2 Guangyuan City → Thousand Buddha Cliff → Tangjiahe, Qingchuan

We ended the tour around 11:30 and headed to Qingchuan County, which took about two hours. Today's lunch time is late, so you can bring some food for the trip.
After a free lunch in Qingchuan County, we will drive to Tangjiahe Natural History Museum.
Start in Tangjiahe, learn about the biodiversity of the Giant Panda National Park at the Tangjiahe Natural Museum, hike to the Shuilingou Waterfall, and observe wildlife on the highway.

The Nature Education Center's evening patrol after dinner begins
Use a thermal imaging camera to look for animals while riding in a car. You may see small muntjacs, wild boars, and groups of takin on the grassy slopes. If you are lucky, you may also encounter civets, porcupines, leopard cats, etc. out foraging for food.
Day 3 Nature Education Center → Inside the protected area is not open to the public → → Qingchuan County

Full day: After breakfast, we will have a wonderful lecture on giant pandas. We will visit the Baixiongping Conservation Station, one of the first in China to conduct wild giant panda research, and learn about the stories of three generations of wildlife conservationists and nature.
Under the guidance of the ranger, we entered the in-depth experience area of the Giant Panda National Park, experienced patrol work, and learned how to use GPS, walkie-talkies and other field work tools.
Learn to identify animal tracks and feces, look for infrared cameras set up by researchers in deep areas, and check the animals captured inside
Lunch: Picnic in the woods with your own food

After the activities in the afternoon, we took a bus to Qingchuan County to check in. You can go to Qingxi Ancient City on your own to visit and taste the special food of northern Sichuan.
Day 4 Qingchuan County → Pingwu Baima Wanglang Nature Reserve → → Pingwu County

Day 5 Pingwu County → Baoen Temple → Jiangyou

Pingwu Bao'en Temple, located in Pingwu County, Mianyang City, Sichuan Province, is one of the most complete surviving Ming Dynasty palace-style Buddhist temples in China, known as the "Mountain Palace." The temple houses ten unique artistic treasures, showcasing the pinnacle of Ming Dynasty architecture, sculpture, and painting.

Jiangyou is the hometown of Li Bai. You can taste the famous Jiangyou pig intestines in Jiangyou.
