Nanchuan Old Street is located in Cangzhou's main urban area, bordering Nanhu Lake to the east, the Grand Canal to the west, and the ancient Nanchuan Ferry. With a total construction area of 46,000 square meters, it is a highlight of the Cangzhou Grand Canal Cultural Belt. Steeped in history, it encompasses two reconstructed historical sites: Nanchuan Tower and Langyin Tower, which bear witness to the development of Cangzhou's salt industry and water transportation. Historically, Nanchuan Tower was built in the early Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty as the property of the Changlu Salt Transport Bureau. Merchants and travelers once drank and composed poetry here, leaving behind many legendary stories. Nearby is Langyin Tower, built in the Ming Dynasty and named after Lü Dongbin's poem: "I have entered Yueyang three times, but no one recognized me. My recitation soared over Dongting Lake."
