Day 1 Chongqing → Liujiang Ancient Town → Wawushan Town Accommodation

7:30-8:00 am Please arrive at Exit 3B of Jiazhou Road Station on Metro Line 3 to sign in (look for staff holding yellow China-TravelNote flags);

Arrive at Liujiang around 2:00 pm, then stroll around the beautiful and tranquil Liujiang Ancient Town. Take some free time to take photos and sample the ancient town’s delicacies. It’s a rare pleasure to sit by the river, drink tea and chat, and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Check in to the Ancient Town Inn/or Wawushan Town Inn around 18:00 in the evening.

Driving time: about 390 km, about 4 hours and 15 minutes

Day 2: Wawushan Town Accommodation → Wawushan Scenic Area → Chongqing

Get up around 6:00 and have breakfast

Arrive at Wawu Mountain around 8:00 and start hiking at 8:30: Scenic area entrance - Shuanglong Waterfall - Moon Pond - Dafa Waterfall - Gongtong Villa

Note: You can choose to go down the mountain by cable car or scenic bus. The return bus will take a long time. No round-trip hiking is allowed.

Gather for the return trip around 16:00 and arrive in Chongqing at 22:00

Wawu Mountain is a famous historical and cultural mountain in China, with the highest altitude of 2,830 meters. It was called Jushan, Shushan, and Laojun Mountain in ancient times. As early as the Tang and Song Dynasties, it was known as the "Two Wonders of Shu" together with Emei Mountain. It is the place where Taishang Laojun ascended to heaven, the birthplace of Taoism, and the last residence of the Qingqiang ethnic group.
