Abu Dhabi: A Symphony of Light and Shadow between Desert and City

Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is a landmark symbolizing Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE.
To get a glimpse of its majestic form, I took advantage of a layover in Abu Dhabi.
[Access]
To get there, take a 10-minute taxi ride from the airport, or a 30-minute bus ride, which runs once an hour.
Bus rides are significantly cheaper but less frequent, so I recommend taking the bus on the way there and a taxi on the way back, as return times are uncertain.
By the way, Uber Taxi is available, so it's a good idea to download the app in advance.
[Tips]
- Women must cover their skin, so a scarf and long sleeves are essential.
- Admission is free, but tickets must be purchased on-site.
- Be careful, as the ticket booth on the opposite side of the entrance is at the back of the food court.
- There's a Japanese audio guide, and it's of very high quality, so I recommend it!
- It's really hot in the summer, so wear breathable clothing!
