Cha-am Beach, the same old beach that is no longer the same

When our family couldn't think of anything, we said "go to the sea". Cha-am Beach is one of the beaches that we often go to because it's not too far from Bangkok. It's easy to travel to, the sand is beautiful, the water isn't too deep, and the kids can play in the water and sand. The wind is cool and comfortable for us parents to relax.

But at the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak, we found out that Cha-am Beach had a seawall built. We were disappointed because the beautiful beach would become a wave-breaking staircase. We just went to Cha-am Beach and the seawall was almost finished. When we went, we couldn't swim at the beach because the water was high and the waves hit the wall very hard. It seemed very dangerous. It seemed to make the old atmosphere of Cha-am Beach disappear. It's a bit of a shame. There's only a little bit of beach left at the end of the beach where we can play in the water and sand.
