Just visited the Chengde Mountain Resort, also known as "Chengde Ligon" or "Rehe Xinggong." This incredible Qing Dynasty summer palace is truly a marvel!

It's the largest existing royal garden in the world and one of China's Four Great Gardens!

For those wondering, these four classical gardens were among the first batch of national key cultural heritage sites announced by the State Council in 1961:

Humble Administrator's Garden (Suzhou)

Summer Palace (Beijing)

Chengde Mountain Resort (Chengde)

Lingering Garden (Suzhou)

🎟️ Tickets & Entry:

You can buy tickets online! Search for the official WeChat account "避暑山庄及周围寺庙" (Chengde Mountain Resort and Surrounding Temples).

Adult Ticket: ¥130

Student Ticket: ¥65

Mountain Ring Shuttle: ¥60/person (optional)

Plain Area Ferry Ticket: (optional)

You can also purchase tickets directly at the scenic area windows. Remember to bring your ID! You'll need to swipe it for entry.

🗺️ Our Recommended Tour Order:

Enter through Lizheng Gate to explore the Palace Area.

Move on to the Mountain Area.

Continue through the Plain Area and Lake Area.

Exit via Chengguan Gate.

Important Tips for Your Visit:

Wear comfortable shoes! There's a lot of walking involved.

It's NOT cool right now. Be prepared for the heat and do your sunscreen routine thoroughly! ☀️

Honestly, it was crowded, hot, and tiring, so the overall experience was just okay for us.
