I visited Chuncheon again. I was going down after finishing work near Gangwon National University. I was planning to eat dakgalbi, but it started to rain. It rains all day in Chuncheon. So I decided to go to a meat restaurant right in front of my house with my friend.

The beginning of a legend
At first, there weren't many people, so I thought, "Wow, this is a big deal. Is this a restaurant that doesn't taste good? Is this a restaurant that's going to go under? This was my last meal, so I was conflicted.

But the number of people gradually increased. It's a restaurant called Gui-rak, and it seems that there are quite a few regulars. It seems that they defrost frozen meat, age it, and then sell it as refrigerated meat. To add to the owner's words, since it is aged for a long time at low temperatures, even frozen meat does not have a strong gamey or odorous smell.

The side dishes are the most basic, including pickled cabbage, mingna leaves, radish salad, lettuce, garlic, etc., and it was unusual to see cabbage and chives used instead of green onions. They also used quite expensive mingna leaves, but mingna leaves are known to go well with pork and are good for your health.

Low-temperature aged pork
Guirak uniquely sells only 'samgyeopsal'. Other businesses sometimes sell galmaegisal, hangjeongsal, daepae, and moksal mixed together, but here, they sell Onni Samgyeopsal. It can be bland if you eat only samgyeopsal, but the meat itself is delicious, which is nice.

It also saves the trouble of not having to grill samgyeopsal separately. Also, since the meat is already cut, it cooks quite quickly. And if the meat cooks quickly, the turnover rate is fast, which is also beneficial for the restaurant. The meat is cut by the owner one by one and the meat is gathered in the aging room next to the store.

The taste is quite good. The pickled cabbage and cabbage is also delicious and is also delicious wrapped in mingnamul. The ingredients are also very fresh. It can be compared to lettuce wraps in cross-section. None of the leaves were browned and the tops were still brown. The pickled leaves were also still fresh and crunchy and had a lot of juice. Since these basic freshness levels were well maintained, the entire meal was very satisfying.
