What is Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon

Located in Sanguansi Township, Cili County, Zhangjiajie City, in Hunan Province, China.

It’s about 54–60 km from downtown Zhangjiajie, and fairly close to the Wulingyuan area (≈ 28‑30 km) depending on which point.

The canyon is a nature + adventure + scenic attraction: mountains, streams, cliffs, waterfalls, forests, caves, wooden walkways, plus a glass bridge spanning the canyon.

1. Glass Bridge

The famous Grand Canyon Glass Bridge spans about 430 meters in length, suspended about 300 meters above the canyon floor in some parts.

It gives a thrilling view over the canyon, and is one of the must‑see features.



2. Walking Trails & Scenic Paths

Wooden plank paths along streams, “Sky Ladder” (steep paths, narrow sky‑views), plank roads and cliffside walkways.

Waterfalls, springs, cliff cliffs, rock features like “A Strip of Sky” (a very narrow view of sky between cliffs).
