Experience the Hokuriku Shinkansen

The Hokuriku Shinkansen began operations in 2015, connecting Tokyo to Kanazawa. In 2024, it will further extend to Tsuruga in Fukui Prefecture, creating a route approximately 470 kilometers long.

Starting from Tsuruga, the Hokuriku Shinkansen stops at several renowned destinations, including Fukui, Kaga Onsen, Kanazawa, Toyama, Nagano, Karuizawa, Ueno, and its final stop, Tokyo!

There are six types of train services available, ranging from local trains to those stopping at every station. Passengers can choose based on their needs, but note that some trains require seat reservations ⚠️

For travelers who enjoy in-depth exploration, it is highly recommended to take the Hokuriku Shinkansen from Fukui all the way to Tokyo to experience the diverse charms of Japan 🗾

Additionally, consider purchasing a JR PASS to save on transportation costs!
