Walking into Canal City Hakata, Fukuoka, you will see a colorful modern picture. The canal meanders between the buildings, the water waves reflect the glass exterior of the shopping mall, and colorful neon lights light up the entire space when night falls, like a dream scene in a fairy tale. I strolled through the mall and saw a wide variety of shops selling everything from exquisite handicrafts to the latest fashion items, all of which attracted people to stop and look. The food court is full of surprises, from piping hot Hakata ramen to melt-in-your-mouth Japanese confectionery, every bite is a treat for your taste buds. There is a unique feeling when you sit by the water, listen to the soft music and watch the boats floating on the canal. The Canal City is particularly charming at night. The musical fountain rises and falls with the melody, and the water columns dance gracefully under the light, as if telling the vitality and romance of the city. When I left, my heart was still deeply moved by the rhythm, light and shadow of this city, as if I was in a flowing music.
