My first time in Guiyang

This was my first trip to Guiyang, the capital of Guizhou Province, China, and it was a much more memorable experience than I expected. Nestled amidst mountains, the weather was pleasant all day long. The people were friendly, and the city was filled with a blend of ancient culture and modern lifestyles.

I started my morning with a stroll through the city. Guiyang is truly a "green" city, surrounded by trees and mountains everywhere I looked. The city's many charming cafes offered a warm atmosphere and unexpectedly delicious cakes. It was a relaxing and enjoyable start to my trip.

I then strolled through Qingyan Ancient Town, an ancient town with a history dating back to the Ming Dynasty. It felt like I'd stepped back in time, with its old stone streets, old wooden houses, and small local pastry shops. I tried a variety of local snacks and enjoyed taking photos.

For lunch, I tried Guizhou's signature dishes: Sour Soup Fish and Huaxi Beef Noodles. Their distinctive sour and slightly spicy flavors were a delightful way to whet my taste buds. I also tried Siwawa, thin rice paper rolls wrapped in a variety of fresh vegetables. They were refreshing and easy to eat.

In the evening, I strolled along the riverside near Jiaxiu Tower, a city landmark, which was beautifully illuminated at night. The atmosphere was very romantic and relaxing. We ended with another stop at a cafe and dessert. It was truly a "non-stop eating" day, but I felt strangely happy because everything fit together so well: the atmosphere, the city, the people, and the food.

Summary of my impressions:
Guiyang is a city that's not too fast-paced, but full of life and culture. The food is delicious and has a distinct signature. It's perfect for those who love to travel with a focus on atmosphere and good food. If you've never been here, I highly recommend giving it a try. You might just fall in love with it.
