The beauty of the intersection of Orthodox culture and Russian architecture ~ Unfortunately, we were unable to enter

Transportation: Bus, taxi, subway
Admission: ¥20 (Currently closed due to interior renovations)

The most striking architectural feature of Hagia Sophia is its large dome, inspired by typical Eastern Orthodox architecture. The walls are constructed entirely of red brick, a characteristic of late 19th-century Russian architecture. The exterior also features many traditional Russian wood carvings.
The massive, dark green, onion-shaped dome towers majestically over the square, offering a 360-degree panoramic view, every aspect perfect for admiring and photographing. No wonder the area is bustling with photo studios and photographers. Young and old, men and women, especially little girls, pose for artistic photos in medieval gowns and elaborate makeup. Even I, a non-photographer, was constantly being urged, "Excuse me! You're blocking our view!" Summer is the off-season here, so wouldn't the crowds be even greater during peak winter season?

I've heard the interior of the cathedral is also quite impressive, but unfortunately, it was under renovation and I wasn't able to see it inside!
