Reunification Palace: Where The Vietnam War Ended

On a business trip to Ho Chi Minh City, I unexpectedly stayed at this soothing hotel—the Silverland Sil Hotel. Located in District 1, it's within easy walking distance of major attractions.
The moment I entered my room, I was captivated by the mint green hue: the warm lighting, the spacious and clean interior, and the large bed that ensured a good night's sleep. Every time I return from a meeting, my mind instantly resets to silent mode.
⸻
🍽 Breakfast is my daily comfort.
The breakfast selection isn't over the top, but each one is thoughtfully prepared. Every day, I habitually order a bowl of piping hot Vietnamese beef pho with a little lemon and chili, washed down with a cup of black coffee—it wakes me up perfectly.
Most heartwarmingly, the staff remembered my preference for unsweetened hot coffee and often offered refills. Their smiles were incredibly warm, making it feel like dining at an old friend's house.
⸻
🛏 Beyond the room, there's a physical and mental reset.
• The gym isn't large, but it's well-equipped. During my free time, I'll jog on the treadmill for 20 minutes. The refreshing feeling after a sweat helps me recharge.
• The small dressing table in the room serves as my laptop desk during the day and my little escape at night.
• The overall cleanliness is exceptional; returning home each day feels like checking in fresh.
⸻
☕️ The hotel's surroundings are an extension of the city's slow travel style.
📍 Attractions and shops within walking distance:
• Reunification Palace | History buffs will love it, about an 8-minute walk.
• Red Church & Central Post Office | Perfect for photos, the old French architectural details are truly captivating.
• Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Street | I love strolling along after work, enjoying the breeze and people-watching.
☕️ Coffee Soul's daily shop visits:
• The Workshop Coffee | Aroma of hand-poured coffee + high ceilings = the perfect refreshing combo
• Okkio Caffe | Retro old-house style, every corner is photogenic
• Cong Caphe | Condensed milk iced coffee is always a winner, with a rich Vietnamese flavor
⸻
💆♀️ Secretly, my secret relaxation spot
Just under a 3-minute walk from the hotel, there's an amazing massage parlor:
👉 Linh Cherry Spa
The environment is comfortable and clean, the prices are reasonable, and the massages are amazing, especially the shoulder, neck, and back massages—a perfect way to wake up after work! I've been there at least twice in the past few days, and each time I feel like I've rebooted.
⸻
🌿 In a nutshell:
The Silver Hill Hotel isn't a luxury hotel, but it's filled with little details that make you want to stay. From the warmth of the breakfast, the respite in the gym, to the friendly, neighborly staff.
This business trip was a bit hectic, but thanks to this place, I was just the right amount of busy, comfortable, and relaxed.
