Last Friday after work, I came to Tsim Sha Tsui to try this Thai restaurant highly recommended by a friend, said to be very authentic.
The restaurant’s decor features a Thai street style, with many colorful Thai wall hangings, giving a feeling of being in a small alley in Bangkok. I heard the staff and chefs speaking Thai, making the whole experience very Thai.
🥢 Pork Boat Noodles
The broth is rich and aromatic, perfectly balanced in flavor, with a hint of basil fragrance after tasting. The pork slices are thin and even, tender and retain the pork’s natural aroma. High quality, can be considered a budget-friendly alternative to the famous Samsen boat noodles.
🥢 Thai-style Stir-fried River Prawns with Rice Noodles
The rice noodles are stir-fried dry and not greasy, the river prawns are fresh and plump, with a bouncy texture. Reliable and high quality.
🥢 Thai-style Mixed Seafood Omelette
The omelette is packed with seafood, including fresh shrimp, oysters, and squid, full of umami flavor. Served with Thai sweet chili sauce, the overall taste is somewhat similar to Taiwanese oyster omelette. However, theirs is more moist, not the dry-fried type, so the texture is quite different from traditional Thai oyster pancakes.
🥢 Thai-style Stir-fried Morning Glory
The morning glory is perfectly stir-fried with a slight wok hei, refreshing and not too salty. The garlic aroma is strong, and the spiciness is moderate, making it a great side dish to pair with other flavorful main courses.
🥥 Coconut Ice Cream Toast (Milk Tea Sauce + Pandan Sauce Mix)
The dessert was a pleasant surprise. The toast is crispy on the outside with a milky aroma, soft inside, paired with fragrant coconut ice cream. The contrast of hot and cold textures is very nice. The milk tea sauce is rich but not greasy, while the pandan sauce has a subtle grassy fragrance—sinfully delicious but truly authentic.
