Trip: 3.5 hours | Length: about 8.5 kilometers | Difficulty: difficult
Fisherman Peak stands on the Clear Water Bay Peninsula. It is sharp and towering into the clouds. It is known as one of the "Three Peaks of Sai Kung". There are two theories about the origin of its name. One theory is that the nearby Temple Tsai Dun is round and arched, and looks like the long beak and body of a kingfisher (also known as a fisherman) when viewed horizontally; the other theory is that this peak looks like a fisherman wearing a straw hat, so it is called "Fisherman Peak". There are trails on the northwest and southwest slopes of Fisherman Peak that lead directly to the top of the mountain. There is also a rural trail built in the belly of the mountain. Visitors can climb the mountain and go for a leisurely rural trip. Visitors can choose one of the two according to their preferences and abilities.
Fisherman Peak is 344 meters above sea level and is the highest mountain on the Clear Water Bay Peninsula in Sai Kung. If you want to conquer this towering peak, you must set foot on the Fisherman Peak Rural Trail. From the top of the peak, you can overlook the magnificent Clear Water Bay scenery below, which will definitely be unforgettable for you.
