Wat Khao Takiab is located on Khao Takiab, not far from Mueang Hua Hin District. It is a viewpoint of Hua Hin. You can see the mountain view, the sea view and Hua Hin city.

A brief history: It was originally an abandoned temple. Then, there were wandering monks who came to stay at the temple. The temple was renovated. A road was built on the mountain to make it more convenient to travel to make merit. On top, there is a pagoda that contains a tooth relic or "Phra Khiaw Kaew", which is a sacred object that is believed that if you come to pray and make a wish, it will be granted as requested.

There are many monkeys in the temple. It is recommended not to feed the monkeys or carry food while walking up to the pagoda. It may be dangerous from the monkeys. There is a place to feed the monkeys, but there will be staff in the temple to take you to feed them. They are familiar with these monkeys.
