Meigetsu-in Temple
was built in 1159
and has many hydrangeas
it is a famous hydrangea spot loved by Japanese and foreigners
Inside Meigetsu-in Temple
there is a photo spot with a circular window that
looks into the garden like this.

That inside is a paid garden called Seipo-en
but when I visited, it was only open during the hydrangea season
