Petaling Street is a must-visit when you come to Kuala Lumpur ⁉️⁉️

If you’re looking for a nice cafe to enjoy some coffee and desserts, check out the Petaling Street outlet of Flaon Cafe, located in KL’s Chinatown. A short walk from Pasar Seni LRT, you can identify it by its stone exterior - the entrance feels like a hole in a wall.
Flaon is a minimalistic and artsy little space, with mostly open communal seating. They sell 3 kinds of desserts here: soufflé pudding roll, specialty flan and pudding layer cake. The desserts are all so pretty and instagrammable, but they are also delicious too!
The Earl Grey Soufflé Roll was my favourite! It comes with soft earl grey soufflé sponge, fragrant earl grey cream and an earl grey pudding cube in the middle. Despite it being full Earl Grey, I find it palatable even for non-earl grey lovers because it’s strong but not that intense/bitter. The cookie crumbs on top also provided a nice textural contrast.
The Rose & Litchi Pudding Cake comes with alternating layers of fluffy rose sponge and rose lychee pudding, topped with fragrant rose cream and lychee jelly.
The Chateau de Creme Caramel is their signature flan enclosed within a caramel shell. The custard was firm and creamy, but the dome was not brittle as I expected.
