Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village (西江千户苗寨) is one of the most iconic and culturally rich ethnic villages in China. Located in Leishan County, within the Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture of Guizhou Province, this village is home to over a thousand households of the Miao ethnic minority—hence the name “Qianhu” (meaning “thousand households”).

Xijiang Miao Village, the thousand-household village, is the largest Miao village in China. Travelers can see wooden stilted houses, wind and rain bridges and experience colorful Miao’s performance and festivals.
