This is the world's largest treasure house of stone carving art with the most statues. It has been built over more than 1,400 years and spanned more than a dozen dynasties. There are 2,345 existing cave niches and more than 110,000 statues. The Vairocana Giant Buddha is the essence of the Longmen Grottoes and it is said that it was carved by Wu Zetian based on her own appearance.
