Ang Thong National Marine Park
A treasure in the middle of the Gulf of Thailand that nature has created for you to fall in love with
Surat Thani Province
If you are a sea lover but not a diving lover… this is the place! Ang Thong National Marine Park is a destination that combines marine nature with challenging trekking trails.
Discover the ultimate trekking experience
on Koh Wua Talap with a legendary viewpoint route that offers a panoramic view of around 40 small islands scattered in the middle of the blue sea. You will immediately understand why this place is called “Ang Thong National Marine Park”.
Cute highlight: The local spectacled langurs will come out to welcome travelers in a friendly manner.
The real Unseen Thailand
Don’t miss the “Inside Sea” at Koh Mae Koh, the only lagoon in the middle of a mountain in Thailand. A natural wonder that looks like a mountain holding water, but in fact there is a secret waterway flowing in and out.
The water is clear, peaceful, and beautiful, making you want to freeze time.
Don’t wait for more adventures!
If you still have energy left, kayak from Koh Mae Koh to Hat Na Thap and enjoy the white sandy beach and crystal clear water. It was a heartwarming end to the trip.
Did you know?
The former Ang Thong Islands were once a restricted area for the Royal Thai Navy to ensure maritime security before officially opening to tourists only from December 1st to October 31st of each year.
In November, the islands are temporarily closed to avoid the monsoon season.
