Explore the historic city at Osaka Castle

Visiting Osaka, Japan for the first time, you must stop by the castle that has stood alongside this city since ancient times.

The grandeur begins right at the front gate with massive walls and a vast area. The cool atmosphere and weather make walking here very enjoyable. At the base of the castle, there are food booths to stroll and snack from, a tram that tours the castle, and a small puppet show that is both cute and unique.

After climbing through each gate, you'll find beautifully arranged gardens and ponds. Once you reach the top, you’ll see the majestic castle standing tall ahead, along with many tourists taking photos in front of it because this is the highlight of Osaka. You can enter the castle itself, but personally, I didn’t go inside due to the long lines.

Beside the castle, there is a viewpoint overlooking the city of Osaka. It’s less crowded than the front of the castle but offers stunning views. If you come here, you should definitely try taking photos from this spot.

Next to the castle, there is also a building that frequently hosts exhibitions, perfect for a leisurely walk inside.

Some visitors might say there’s nothing special, but if you come to Osaka, this place is definitely worth it. You get to see the castle’s grandeur, enjoy a pleasant atmosphere, explore exhibitions in the building, and capture beautiful photos. It’s truly worth the visit.
