If there’s one city that perfectly blends nature and Nordic design, it’s Oslo. I started my day with a tranquil stroll through Frogner Park, where spring had painted the landscape in soft pink cherry blossoms and vibrant green lawns. The iconic Vigeland sculptures gave the park a surreal, artistic atmosphere—like walking through a living museum.
Next, I headed to the Aker Brygge waterfront, a stylish harbor district perfect for brunch with a view. I grabbed a cinnamon bun and coffee at Baker Hansen, then walked the boardwalk to the Oslo Opera House. Its sloped roof doubles as a viewpoint—walk up for a panoramic sweep of the Oslofjord and city skyline.
Culture lovers shouldn’t miss the Munch Museum (home to The Scream) or the National Museum, which beautifully showcases Norwegian art and design. And for a dose of Viking history, the Bygdøy Peninsula houses the Viking Ship Museum and Fram Museum—both fascinating windows into Norway’s seafaring soul.
In the evening, I took a ferry to the Hovedøya Island, where ruined monasteries, quiet beaches, and blooming wildflowers created the perfect spot to unwind with a picnic. As the sun dipped below the fjord, Oslo’s peaceful magic settled in.
Best Time to Visit: Late spring (May–June) is perfect for mild weather, blooming parks, and extended daylight hours.
Tips: Use the Ruter transport app for ferries, buses, and metro. Oslo Pass is worth it if you plan to visit multiple museums.
