#Where to travel this summer? Summer vacation destinations are probably the sea. This time, I would like to review the activities we did when we visited Pattaya and Jomtien Beach in March.
My mother asked for the first destination. She wanted to eat Dim Sum Ko Aun. We left Bangkok late in the morning and headed for Ang Sila. We planned to arrive just in time for lunch because this restaurant only opens in the morning. It closes around 1:00 PM and closes at 2:00 PM. The food tastes average, but the highlight is the many cool photo spots. Don't miss it.
After we were full, we escaped the hot sun to see fish at the Bangsaen Aquarium or the Marine Science Institute, Burapha University. Those who don't like diving or the sun but want to see beautiful and cute sea fish will be very satisfied. It's worth the 80 baht entrance fee.
After that, we stopped to see the view and the monkeys at the Bangsaen-Khao Sam Muk viewpoint. The monkeys here aren't as fierce as other places. They don't snatch or steal things unless they're food. So, be careful.
After saying goodbye to the monkeys, we drove to Jomtien Beach. We checked in at the hotel, put our things away, and went for a walk along the beach to watch the sunset. Jomtien Beach has now been expanded to be much wider. People come here to have picnics in the evening. Families, parents and children come to play in the water, tourists come to play jet skis, banana boats, etc. The atmosphere is fun and lively.
In the evening, there will be food carts along the beach for us to choose from. You can buy and sit and eat by the sea. There are squid shots, dancing shrimp, grilled chicken, and papaya salad. But we like the food at Miami Jomtien Street Food Market at the entrance of Soi Jomtien 11. There are so many delicious things to eat.
After we were full, we went back to the hotel to rest and get some energy to wake up and go to the local fishing market at Jomtien Beach. The fishermen will bring their boats to shore with the shrimp, shellfish, crabs, and fish they have caught from around 5 to 7 in the morning. There are a lot of people on Saturdays and Sundays, so the market will close earlier than on weekdays. The highlight of this market is the fresh food because it is only sold day by day.
Finally, when you come to the sea, you have to eat seafood. Before going home this time, we stopped by Krua Jae Tum restaurant. My mom and dad said in unison that it was delicious. Even though the menu we ordered was general food, the food was cooked to a strong flavor. We really liked it.
