Who would have thought? I discovered a "hidden gem" tucked between the mountains and the sea in Laoshan—Muye Gongchao. Staying here feels like stepping into a secluded paradise, almost making me believe I came here to live in seclusion.
🌊 Despite being so close to Laoshan Scenic Area and Yangkou Beach, this place is nestled in tranquility. The moment you push open the courtyard gate, you're instantly healed: white walls and gray tiles surrounded by lush greenery, a terrace facing the boundless sea, and the silhouette of Laoshan in the distance resembling an ink painting stretched across the horizon. Even the sea breeze carries the scent of grass and trees, completely avoiding the hustle and bustle of crowded tourist spots. This is exactly how Laoshan should feel!
🏡 The rooms are even more stunning. Every window acts like a picture frame, capturing exclusive views of the mountains, sea, tea gardens, and starry skies. At night, you can sit in the courtyard sipping tea, listening to the waves crashing against the rocks, and gazing at the stars scattered across the night sky. You won't even feel like picking up your phone—after all, the romance before your eyes is more captivating than any filter.
👩🍳 The guesthouse's restaurant offers a taste of Laoshan's authentic flavors. The seafood and stir-fried dishes are incredibly delicious! The owner will even discreetly share tips on the best rocks for shellfish gathering or shortcuts to catch the sunrise, making you feel more cared for than by a local friend.
After three days exploring Laoshan, I realized the hardest thing to leave behind was this place. Unlike the noisy internet-famous spots, it embodies the soul of the mountains and sea, and the charm of Qingdao deep within its essence.
Turns out the best kind of travel is spending your days in a "hidden gem" like this, turning life into poetry.
