This is a strategy for transcending the cycle of reincarnation and reaching nirvana. The pavilion houses the Arhat, carved from wood according to Mahayana Buddhism. A long, curved walkway over the water leads to the pavilion, which is so intricately beautiful that it's thought to be in heaven.

Nearby are restaurants, a floating market, royal barges, and the Avalokiteshvara Pavilion.
