Nakajima Park is close to the center of Sapporo.
It is a place of relaxation for Sapporo residents,

Nakajima Park
Location: Nakajima Park 1, Chuo-ku, Sapporo
Get off at Nakajima Park Station on the Namboku Subway Line, Exits 1 and 3
There is no dedicated parking lot at Nakajima Park,
so please use public transportation or a nearby paid parking lot.

☆Japanese Garden
In one corner, the teahouse "Hassoan" (a nationally designated important cultural property) said to have been made by Kobori Enshu, a tea master from the early Edo period, has been moved from Shiga Prefecture, and it is a beautiful garden where you can enjoy the changing of the seasons.
☆ Iris Pond
Originally built as a lumber yard to store timber, it was gradually developed and became the symbol of Nakajima Park.
You can also enjoy rental boats from spring to autumn.
☆ Toyohirakan
Toyohirakan was built in November 1880 by the Hokkaido Development Commission as a Western-style hotel, and is said to be the oldest wooden hotel still standing in Japan.
It is a historic building that is said to have been visited by three generations of the imperial family during the Meiji, Taisho, and Showa periods, and is designated as an Important Cultural Property of Japan.
