Just tried the newly opened "Taste of China Immersive Dining" on the Bund with my friend, and we were completely blown away by this revolutionary way of dining!
This isn't your ordinary restaurant—it's a 2-hour immersive theatre where you change costumes, watch incredible performances, and never have a dull moment. The experience is absolutely fire! 🔥
Key Highlight❗️❗️ The mid-tier seating (¥988) offers the perfect central view and insane value for money! The projection wrap-around effect is strong, and it’s super photogenic. 📸
🍽️ The dishes follow a storyline led by the adorable Panda Chef "Cheng Baobao." Each scene, each location, each course—the sense of ceremony is next level!
✔️ Appetizer Platter: A selection of four regional delicacies served with a chilled tomato consommé—refreshing and appetizing.
✔️ Beijing Duck: Served with hawthorn strips and cucumber. Wrapped in a pancake, it’s not greasy at all. The jasmine tea is the perfect palate cleanser!
✔️ Mapo Tofu: This version comes with a WHOLE mini lobster! Spicy, aromatic, and heavenly when paired with tofu skin and rice. 🍚
✔️ Sweet Fermented Rice Balls: The grand finale dessert is a visual masterpiece with a starry sky special effect. It’s stunningly beautiful and lightly sweet with a hint of wine—perfectly balanced.
👗 The costume experience is totally worth it! Hundreds of Hanfu and Qipao options to choose from. The stylists are pros—you’ll feel like you’ve time-traveled the moment you’re done. (Remember to arrive 1.5 hours early!)
🎭 The live performances are a major bonus! Water sleeve dance, Sichuan face-changing, Shaolin Kung Fu… shows are interspersed throughout, making it worth every penny.
The venue features giant wrap-around screens + interactive table projections where you can "write" or "catch fish." You won’t get bored even while waiting for the next course.
Perfect for bringing your parents, a unique date night, or a group gathering. My feed went crazy after I posted the pics! 📍
